All Things GAA

Donegal calling all GAA heads?????

Any thoughts/opinions on the season to date?

Where have you all gone? crying

RE: Growing old - optional or inevitable?

I didn't watch the link, but aging of the body is inevitable, aging of the mind is optional.....

RE: Jealousy

Jealousy in a relationship WILL destroy it, no question about that.

Jealousy, or if it is only an occasional feeling, "envy" of a friend/acquaintance would definitely spur me on to make changes in order to achieve my goals.

But in answer to the original question, I believe jealousy is inherent in a persons character.....and it's not a nice trait

RE: kidatheart's Coming to Dublin ..NITE OUT

There's nothing I enjoy more than spoiling a good gossip session laugh

RE: kidatheart's Coming to Dublin ..NITE OUT

Seeing as there is such interest in Kidatheart's business, I thought I'd fill you all in:

He arrived in Ireland on February 1st and has been in my company since then. He will be returning to Canada on February 28th.

We had chicken stir fry for dinner yesterday, tonight we will be having garlic and herb coated duck fillets and we may have a couple of drinks later.

Anything else you'd like to know, just ask wave

All Things GAA

Things are a bit slow here this year.....apart from Sky playing down Dublins chances and Stan looking for a "anyone only Dublin" victory laugh

For the record, I don't rate our chances in this game. We're suffering from an All Ireland hangover, just back in training 3 weeks and no first team player appeared in the McKenna Cup.

It'll still be good to get things back on the road though applause

RE: Admitting the 'unspoken'

I can honestly say I was never "broody".

I have 2 great kids, that I would lay down my life for, but I never had that "Oh My God, I need children in my life" feeling.

All Things GAA

Hey there wave

Were you in Parnell Park at the weekend? I didn't see/read anything about it, but going by the scoreline I'd say it was a good, competitive game.

Hi everyone else wave

How many of us are going to the games at the weekend?

All Things GAA

Well lads, it's that time of year again applause

It's too early to call it the All Ireland Tipping Thread (can't wait for that one!!), but it's National League time....

Any of you still around?

RE: does the weather affect your mood

Sunshine makes me happy, but I wish it would snow.....properly snowman

RE: Are there Professions you Find More Attractive?

I don't know....

I just have this feeling that they'd be distracted all the time, even when off duty?

As I said, not something I've ever given much thought to, and I don't think I'd ever dismiss someone just because of their occupation.

Just nobody too intense, I suppose that's what I'm really getting at confused

RE: Are there Professions you Find More Attractive?

You called? flirty

It is a good question, and not one that I ever gave much thought to.
I'm attracted to a personality and I think someones profession is probably part and parcel of that so no bankers/solicitors/doctors/teachers/social workers........

Hard to explain, but that was my first thought confused

RE: cyberlinkcam

I might be stating the obvious here, but when you receive a Skype call, you have the option to "answer the call" or "answer the call with video".

Just a thought....

RE: Traveling Ireland.

I haven't looked at his profile so didn't know his occupation, and have only skimmed through the posts on here, so apologies if I'm being naive.

I just saw your very detailed post, admittedly, I only skimmed through it too, and thought it was a bit OTT......

One of my regular sayings is that I only believe half of what I see, and none of what I hear cheers

RE: Traveling Ireland.

My sentiments exactly!!!

While I don't think threads like this are a good idea (although I've been told they do actually work wink), the response you are referring to actually left me speechless for a minute.....I've recovered now though.

Jac, seriously, what is your problem???

The Ultimate Time For Online Dating

RE: Happy christmas

It is now officially time to slouch on the couch for the rest of the night.....not that I've done much else all day laugh

Hope you're all having a good one gingerbread

RE: Post Your All Time Favourite Xmas Song ......

RE: why does my trifle sponge keep floating to the top of the jelly ?

You's are all very domesticated around here help

Tarzan with his floating sponge trifle
Green massaging his ham and stuffing his bird
SDB made some kind of exotic sounding stuff last night

Individual cheesecakes from Dunnes will do me nicely drinking

RE: Reflections on the year

I'll keep mine short and sweet:

Thinking back over the year, I honestly can't think of anything negative. I'm sure there were times when things didn't go right, but if there were, they obviously weren't important because none come to mind now....

I must have had a pretty mundane year though, because no moments of great joy stand out either (well, apart from the obvious day in late September).

I'm happy with that, steady as she goes......
