Sorry to hear that Jimbo hug

The suffering is twofold, the afflicted and the family. I'm not going to get into a battle of words with anyone over this, but there's a lot to be said for going with dignity sad flower

RE: Who sang these words or name that tune.

Out on the weekend doh

I really have to hear the tune. I'll leave you experts to it wave

RE: Who sang these words or name that tune.

Right on mine.....love that song head banger

I love Neil Young but that doesn't ring any bells, and you are the king where he is concerned laugh

She sees the bartender in a pool of blood

RE: Men on internet dating sites are socially disfunctional.

You mean men NEVER tell the truth shock

RE: Men on internet dating sites are socially disfunctional.

Ok, I just listened to the first 7 mins of the interview....

"Casual dating"
"Up for anything/a laugh"

I'm not surprised that she got 67 replies in two days doh

From what I heard, my views are slightly different to hers but I still believe that the decent/normal guys are in the minority

RE: Men on internet dating sites are socially disfunctional.

Second point first......I never thought of that, but you could be onto something. Until recently, internet dating was a total taboo (still is to some people), so maybe some men do think that way.

First point second......if you meet someone on a night out, spend a couple of hours talking to them, it's going to be general stuff, and them trying to make a good impression.
You talk to someone on here for a couple of hours, and that could be over a number of days/weeks, and it just seems "different". I do believe that a lot of people have an "online" persona that is different to their "real life" persona.

Please note that I said "a lot", not all.....

RE: Men on internet dating sites are socially disfunctional.

Sad but true GS sigh

Ok, there are thousands of profiles on here but chances are you will only be contacted by/contact double figures? In my experience (when I was actively seeking a date), the ones that started out fine, quickly disintegrated into either men that were looking for dirty chat or men that wanted to moan and complain about how sad their life is!!!

Keep the faith, you're one of the good ones hug

RE: Singles Gym

I hope not laugh

RE: Message for softrain50

This sounds like a love story......you can't leave us hanging....we need details conversing

RE: Guys

May and September are historically our best months, but knowing this country, anything could happen laugh

We've done pretty well this year, very little rain, NO MISTY DRIZZLE, and warm breezes to go with the sunshine for the last few weeks smitten

Not that I love my county or anything grin

RE: Guys

I'm just trying to butter you up cos you still owe me a 7-up laugh

RE: Guys

GS and Scriobs......I've met both of you and I can honestly say that both of you have more going for yourselves than you think scold

GS, you are of the old guard, a pure gentleman, passionate about what you believe in and can appreciate the simple pleasures in life, you don't need all the bells and whistles that most people do hug

Scriobs, your sense of humour is second to none!!!!! And again, when you talk about something that you are passionate about, there is no sign of any self confidence issues hug

RE: Singles Gym

And the dread of what's ahead for the footballers wink

RE: Singles Gym

And you know that I was only having the craic with that commenthandshake

RE: Singles Gym

Step away from the bottle Scriobs cheers laugh

RE: Singles Gym

I don't go to the gym myself, but I hear what you're saying. It should be a veritable breeding ground for singles dancing

RE: Leaving Cert Results 2012

Very few know what they want to do when they enter college, but I've told my two to stay there until they find work laugh

My son did 2 years of civil engineering (on recommendation of a friend) but hated it. He went to NZ for a year and is now hoping to get into agricultural studies.

My daughter has done 2 years of childcare and loves it but is dismayed at the low pay she can expect laugh
She's toying with the idea of child psychology but isn't going to rush into anything

RE: Leaving Cert Results 2012

My two are waiting on college offers on Monday, one changing colleges after 2 years, the other thinking of rejoining the ranks after a year in NZ.

RE: what would you call a perfect date?

I'd rather find out I don't like someone after one date than drag it out into 2 or 3. That's just a waste of time....

RE: what would you call a perfect date?

A first date should be fun and relaxed, the location doesn't matter

RE: Weekend is over!!!

RE: Weekend is over!!!

God love the "thumbs" facility we used to have.....

Just a pity some mild mannered peeps took offence and ruined a truly great feature of CS sigh
