RE: I am (the second)

I am starting to understand distances....my wee country really is "wee" laugh

As far as I know, there's no shoveling to be done in BC anymore wink

RE: The Skin I Live In.

I don't particularly like it myself and am glad that I only ever pass through it laugh

Seriously though, the same thing happened my hands when I was moving house

It was December, bitterly cold and I was constantly washing my hands. The skin on my hands was all cracked and extremely painful. I went to a chemist and they gave me some kind of concoction in a brown bottle....lethal stuff, stung like hell but worked a treat.

My advice, stick to Neutrogena thumbs up

RE: I am (the second)

I am thinking that you are the only person keeping the Canadian Forums alive wave

RE: driving while on the phone. is it legal where you are?

Here in Ireland the only legal way to use a phone whilst driving is by bluetooth. The "old fashioned" hands free (earpiece connected to the phone by wires) is illegal.

Apparently, the wires distract you too confused

RE: Drinks Meet Up in Galway for Easter Saturday?.....

Normally if someone mentions a night out in Galway, I'm there. Actually, I don't even need that much encouragement laugh

Sorry I couldn't make it this weekend, but next time I'm heading that way, I'll give you all a shout cheers

RE: best dating sites

I think it's whatever you get used to.

I told a friend that was using a paid site to try this one but he couldn't get into it at all, said there was too much going on laugh

RE: best dating sites

I'm hoping it'll kick off again in May. We tried it for the league last year and I think we all got a bit fed up of it.

You should join us this year cheers

RE: best dating sites

I've checked out quite a few over the last couple of years but this is the only one I've stuck with......maybe that's because it's the first one I joined, I'm not sure confused

RE: dating site experiences

laugh

RE: dating site experiences

Most genuine people tend to talk themselves down when describing their personality. I was more talking about the physical descriptions.

When I see "ordinary", I immediately think "honest". Maybe I'm an auld romantic, but I have yet to be proven wrong

RE: R.T.E

Personally, I don't believe any employee, in any field, should earn more than €100k.

Even that is excessive

RE: dating site experiences

I haven't met many for dating but I have to say that the ones I did, matched their description and photos.

On the subject of "curvy", a male friend of mine described himself on here as curvy. I thought it was strange for a man to do that but that's just his sense of humour laugh

RE: whisk me away

Unfortunate choice of words there Whistler uh oh

RE: Jenny in good form

How the hell can you get banned from a "word" thread laugh

RE: i enjoyed them cans yesterday

Hopefully I'll make it in for a couple of nights too cheers

RE: i enjoyed them cans yesterday

Have you ever been to the Fleadh before? It's an incredible week

RE: Travel broadens the mind.

My immediate answer whenever I'm asked this question is Morocco, I absolutely love the place!! The extreme difference of culture is what draws me back, and yes, I have seen the poverty and it's heartbreaking, but the "real" Moroccans always have a smile on their faces.

I said my immediate answer is Morocco, but you reminded me of how great the Dutch are and Prague in December is magical smitten

Oh, and a gorgeous little fishing village in the south of France, Villefrance, just because it was so peaceful.

I can't wait to get back on my travels again cool

RE: Galway

.....Jimmy's bringing Sammy back to Donegal again grin

RE: Galway

Paddy reunion

I have plans, well, not plans, but football laugh

RE: Galway

Galway smitten

I can't go next weekend, but I have a wee route that I always stick to whenever I'm there....

Taffes
Tig Coili
The Quays

smitten

RE: I dont know what a tracker mortgage is?!

I've just watched the rest of that link. Absolutely brilliant, if somewhat disturbing uh oh laugh

RE: I dont know what a tracker mortgage is?!

I stopped watching when it got to Tiswas.....I felt old laugh

RE: I dont know what a tracker mortgage is?!

It's something that, if you have one, makes the bank hate you laugh

Did anyone hear the possible plans to get people to give up their trackers? Not sure if it's just for people in arrears or everyone but they are talking about giving you the option to change to a variable rate at the current market value of your house.

I like this plan grin

RE: A Bed, A Chair and a Guitar....

Bacardi, Coke and Silk Cut Purple drinking smoking

On a serious note....my dog for company, my phone for music and a nice, sandy beach cool

RE: So........... wots yours leprechaun name?

Why did you get a cute name like that and I get Warty McSmelly blues

RE: property tax calculator

There is only one "Mad Mary" in Glen......

We've gone way beyond here......

Care to join us??????????

cheers

RE: property tax calculator

How could you forget.....It's Mad Mary!!

You know that she's not my Mammy, but you also know that she will "see" this thread and know that you "defiled" her devil

RE: property tax calculator

I looked at this earlier tonight and "laughed out loud".....literally!!!

I come from a tiny little village in Donegal...we have a range of houses from council/terrace/semi to 7+bed houses on 1+acre sites.....they are all valued at 0-100,000.........

Happy days for my 82 yr old mammy that lives in a 6 bed detached, on top of a hill, views to die for, property....she pays the same as my 3 bed, crappy, mid terrace town house grin

All Things GAA

Sky reunion

Take out all the rolly boys and I think you got it just right laugh

For the record, I'm scared!!!!!

RE: Growing old - optional or inevitable?

Hmmmm, I'll have to watch it tomorrow and give an opinion then, but from your description, yes, I'd say people would see him as a dirty old man laugh

Eh, at what age can we start to stop the decline uh oh
