RE: portugal

I was talking about getting slated on here, it's in the local pub that happens laugh

Again.....Westlife cool

Westlife were an Irish boy band, formed in July 1998 and disbanded in June 2012. Originally signed by Simon Cowell and managed by Louis Walsh, the group's final line-up consisted of Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan. Brian McFadden was a member from 1998 until his departure in 2004.
Westlife sold over 50 million records worldwide, a total that included studio albums, singles, video releases, and compilation albums. The group accumulated 14 number-one singles in the United Kingdom. They achieved a total of 26 top ten singles over their 14-year career. They are the first act to have their first 7 singles at number 1. By 2010, Westlife was listed in the Guinness World Records, as the UK's top-selling album group of the 21st century. Westlife are the most frequent winner of The Record of the Year, winning four times, and in 2012, the Official Charts Company listed Westlife 34th amongst the biggest-selling singles artists in British music history. Despite their success worldwide, Westlife never managed to break into the U.S. market, achieving only one hit single in 2000: "Swear It Again".
In October 2011, Westlife announced their intention to split in 2012, following their Greatest Hits Tour and the release of their Greatest Hits album. The boyband's final concerts were held on 22 and 23 June 2012 at Croke Park Stadium in Dublin. The first farewell concert, offering 85,000 tickets, sold out in a record-breaking five minutes and the latter screened live in cinemas worldwide.

They were IRISH very mad

RE: Polyamory

At last.....I can join in, all the big words are gone applause

Don't listen to them MD, Bambi is a she....have you ever seen a guy with big doe eyes like that?

RE: long distance dating

Ok, just got the piss take doh

7 hrs driving, not flying tongue

RE: long distance dating

It's not really that big, just a lack of motorways (highways) laugh

RE: portugal

That's it exactly.....they weren't great, but just popular!!!

I get slated every time I say I don't like The Beatles, same with U2, but I'm no sheep crazy

RE: portugal

They were the '60's version of the modern day fabricated boy band. If you want to compare like with like:

Westlife tongue

If you want real longevity in music (and I'm not a fan of all these):

Fleetwood Mac
The Eagles
Rod Stewart
Rolling Stones
Bruce Springstein

RE: long distance dating

I know all about travel times over there, absolute madness doh

I think you should all abandon your trucks and stuff and just travel by air laugh

As far as I can remember, the travel time from the most northerly tip, to the most southerly tip of Ireland is 7 hrs laugh

RE: portugal

I didn't say the songs were overrated, just the band wink

grin

RE: long distance dating

Oh, I should add that I can be in Dublin in 2.5 hrs....go figure laugh

RE: long distance dating

Have you read my mind? laugh

The thing about long distance relationships, they are relative to where you live. For example:

If you live in Dublin, Ireland, a long distance relationship is anything over a 30 min commute!!

If you live outside of Dublin, it seems to be generally 2-3 hrs commute that is considered long distance.....

I live in Donegal......I can drive for 3 hrs and still be in my own county laugh

RE: portugal

I was wondering how long it would take for the backlash laugh

It's personal opinion, to me, the majority of their songs (and I use that term in the vaguest sense) were mere nursery rhymes hole

Now, as always, there are exceptions to the rule....Hey Jude, Something...I'm struggling after that laugh

RE: portugal

No, after The Beatles, I think they are the most overrated band of all time....

I liked some of their early stuff but it just got to be "same old, same old"

RE: portugal

Nobody seems to be answering you, so I'll say I'm not from Portugal but have visited it a few times.

If you're thinking of a holiday, may I recommend Alvor wave

RE: Whats wrong with my profile

I got 31% rolling on the floor laughing

Oh I do love this place at times, but in fairness, your man was from Saskatchewan laugh

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

I just got a mail from an American and his last line was I'm Randy laugh

I think he was telling me what his name was but I just burst out laughing when I read it rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Happy birthday SDB.

Ooops, only seeing this now....

Belated birthday wishes and happy birthday for next year too (in case I forget) laugh

There's no point in saying I hope you had a good time as that is a given wine

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

Oh, please don't doh

Bundoran is the heel of Donegal (no offence to anyone here from Bundoran), there is so much more to see and far better towns if that's what you're into. Bundoran could be anywhere, so commercial sigh

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

hmmm

Seriously though, I was only in Thurles, or Tipp for that matter, once and I won't even say what decade it was laugh

RE: Love/Hate

I've only ever seen one episode and that was just because my son was here and he watches it, or at least he used to.

I agree with previous posters though, if it was a US show, there wouldn't be any discussion about it

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

I was in Hayes' once, do you remember me? grin

RE: MAYO FOR SAM

I didn't know there was a meeting....tell me all popcorn

RE: Nice People...

Who are you and what have you done with the real Saoirse boxing laugh

RE: "The Question Game"

I didn't want to reply to that last question because, like you, no imagination laugh

I think I have changed the text on my profile 2 or 3 times....very few read it anyway so I often wonder what's the point?

Did you enjoy your school years? (at the actual time)

RE: love music

Have you noticed that only two other people have posted music on this thread?

You really should try to learn how to post a video and not just a link, you may get a better response then wave

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

And this is the wit that I miss so much hug

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

Just googled it, Captain Philips....based on a true story as far as I know. I didn't know he dragged his son into movies??

Yeah, my best girl Lacey....she's a wee doteen grin

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

Well they do say that when you quit the smokes you get all kinds of infections as your body expels the toxins.

Fair play to you, I've been chatting about giving them up for years...one of these days I really will help

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

ah now got a lecture about reading things twice

I don't do the double quote thingy, but that was your reply to fifi when she said you called her a terrorist.

You haven't pissed me off, that would infer that I actually care, I just don't care for people that try to back track on their posts laugh

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

It's the lack of alcohol that's causing the sweats laugh

RE: What`s on your mind..... ....

Paranoid much???

But you did prove a point, you don't know me and yet you feel free to call me a terrorist?

Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't make them a bad person.

I was merely trying to tell you, and others, to think before they attack
