Back in the day, when I used to work, I was always known as the person with the "happy" pen, aka, a pen covered in those smiley faces. Thanks for the memory Stan
Everyone else seems to be sleeping so I came over here for a nosey and what do I find? The kinda thread that used to keep me entertained for hours when I first joined this madhouse. Kudos Beachman, Kudos
Sight - not a hope!! I have crappy sight anyway so I'm holding onto what I have!
Hearing - not a hope!! That makes up for my crappy sight!
Touch - not a hope!! Never to feel my dogs nudging my leg, looking for attention? Never to feel their soft fur again? Nope, not a hope! Not to mention that I'm an extremely tactile person
Smell - not a hope!! You also lose the sense of taste so that's a double whammy!
That leaves Taste, which I have already said I don't want to lose....
Ok, if I have to pick one, smell (as long as I can keep taste)
Anseo It's a long time since I've said that on here
I think everyone else is sleeping Scriobs
In reply to your question though, I'm doing ok. A very infrequent visitor here now though, nothing much of interest, unless you like watching someone talk to themselves
Immediate family and special people get "token" gifts, nothing expensive, but something that I think they will enjoy. I absolutely LOVE christmas so put a lot of thought into what I gift to people. I've been looking for the perfect snow globe for the last couple of years for myself (hint, hint!!)
My sisters gift to me last year was priceless, but you'd need to be Irish to understand it
If you had to choose between radio or TV, which would you choose?
Are we talking the ballroom of romance here or the auld school discos when the lads were all gathered on one side of the hall and the girls on the other? "No mans land" was a dangerous place
Am I the only person in the world that didn't watch Love/Hate and that other one, the name escapes me, that was about the teacher making crystal meth?
I saw one episode of Love/Hate and "hated" it..... I tried to watch the other one online but just didn't find it entertaining, I gave up after half way through the second series
I was taught how to double quote but it's a far and distant memory
Serene, I'm a very infrequent visitor these days, just couldn't be bothered and all the craic seems to have left long ago.....
Molly, I don't know your preferences in sport, but believe me, 3 years as a club treasurer (which included one All Ireland Final ticket debacle) should have earned me a sainthood
Now I must go and walk the hounds for the final time tonight
Does dedicating 3 years of my life to my local GAA (Gaelic Football) club count?
I've never been actively involved with any charities but I would love to help at a local animal shelter, and if I had any spare cash, that's where it would go too
I saw "a young fella" running around in a pair of shorts and a hoody the other day (I was freezing this same day!!!!). Do you hang onto summer for as long as you can, beyond reason, or do you welcome each changing season?
Lotto, regularly I said earlier tonight that I want to go to Vegas but for the hotels, not necessarily the gambling Cheltenham, my "fix" every year, cleared over 900 yoyo's this year Grand National, every year since I was about 5 years old
Am I a gambler? I don't think so, I like to have the odds stacked in my favour
Definitely not working anyway It all depends on where I am....if I'm near a beach, I'll be lying on it, if I'm in a city, I'll be indoors or in the shade, elsewhere, I'll be walking with my best buddies (heading for high 30's this week here )
