I've been there three times and knew immediately that there was no physical attraction but I had a pleasant enough time.
I'll admit I'm a coward and hate hurting people's feelings so I'm afraid I couldn't say a permanent goodbye after each of the dates. It is the best way though because these guys still contact me from time to time and I really don't want it. Luckily they are all nice enough guys and don't pester me too much, I think they know deep down I'm not interested.
I don't have to put that in my profile having kids long flown the nest but I understand why people do.
My brother who has never married, is in his forties and more often than not meets women with kids. He has found it very difficult to be part of a ready made family many times over for a number of reasons. If someone has never had kids it is difficult to understand the time and attention kids need, and as Detente says, the noise and commotion they generate.
Perhaps women who include this in their profiles have had experiences with men like my brother?
Russia, lots of good things Gilly, particularly the people, but it's not easy as there are, or so I found, many limitations in comparison with the west.
I was happily settled in Spain and thought my wandering days were over. Out of the blue I was offered a great job in Russia for three months and I accepted.
It wasn't easy living there, I admit, but I loved the job and have been asked to go back in February.
So three months in Russia, two months in Spain (for my sunshine fix!) and more lovely friends.
I'm FED UP of being insulted by a certain silly know it all girl who makes it her personal mission to do so whenever she possibly can. Well, to be fair to the girl, she manages to insult many people then softens the blow with a stupid emoticon or three!

Oh don't remind me, I'm back in Russia in February and dreading the cold! Winter here in southern Spain is not too bad and the sun is still warm.
