Travel enables one to see REAL poverty, where kids not only don't have enough food, or clothes and gift of a ballpoint pen and some paper brings raptures of excitement.
The media and advertising world tries to convince us that we need more and more thus perpetuating the myth that we are impoverished.
But I don't agree that this site is solely for seeking romantic relationships, friendship gained on the forums is fulfilling for many members.
I think the problem lies with the profiles, if someone is not looking for romance then that should be clear in the profile....as it is in mine, but many men who are looking for more than friendship choose to disregard that and then get stroppy when I write back to say sorry.....READ MY PROFILE.
Exactly, that's what I'm saying. I don't pretend to be an expert in US politics but politicians are the same wherever you come from and they will sell their souls for votes.

You're so right. It's the same here in Spain for me, the weather has been glorious and the smells, music and chatter waft in when I open my balcony doors.
It took me a while to get used to living in a flat having always lived in a detached house in the UK, but now the 'noise '(Spain is supposed to be one of the noisiest countries in Europe) is comforting.
When I work in Russia I really miss it because there is nobody on the street (apart from a few alcoholics) after 7 pm and it's just too quiet and lonely.
Rusty that only happens when we are using a public loo, cos of course we never let our botties touch the seat, and we discover there is no loo paper so we have to stretch to grab hold of the paper our friend is passing us from the next door loo.........Make sense?

All I'm trying to say is there are two sides to every story, I don't want to know the answers to my questions and you may well have been treated badly, but don't expect too much genuine sympathy on the basis of that post.

In February it's freezing in Russia and huge glaciers hang from the buildings which sometimes drop onto peoples' heads'......obviously when they're not expecting it causing fatalities.

Oh what a lovely but bittersweet story Indy. I had just phoned my mum who lives in the UK as she hasn't been feeling too well...nothing serious, but it's so important to care for our mums however old, busy, or far away we are.

My profile states that I'm not looking, but even if I was I don't believe I would find my ideal match here after having several CS dates last year which were disappointing.
I have a full social life here in Spain, (unfortunately that will change when I return to work in Russia!) and thankfully still manage to have dates in the real world so it's not really an issue for me.
Flower I didn't ask anybody to justify anything, nor do I think about anything other than what I read (present tense). None of us really know anything about each other except what we observe here.
And, I wasn't criticising your beliefs or anybody elses for that matter, though you clearly seem to think so by the tone of your post. There has been enough sniping between other people on this forum which both you and Cuspo have criticised so why can't I do the same without censure?
Ok, but for two people who seem to be the most into therapeutic and natural remedies for all afflictions and who claim to be anti negative energy concepts, it saddens me to see the contradictions between your beliefs and the content of your missives to each other.
