RE: What is the biggest lie of a 20th century that people still believe?

RE: Which is the most beautiful city in your country?

Two words that should never be used in the same sentence is "city" and "beautiful". laugh

RE: Are we as asleep as the Germans of the '30s?

I don't see how this idiot Bradlee Dean can compare America of today with Germany of the 30's. Germany was devastated by World War 1 and was forced to make reparations for all the damage they caused by the Treaty of Versailles. Their economy was wiped out and inflation was 1000's percent. Blame the French and to a lesser extent the Brits for WW2, they forced Germany into war by their pig headed insistence that Germany pay for WW1 when they couldn't even feed themselves. The path of least resistance was start another war. The German people would have followed anybody at that time because they were put into a position that left them no other options BUT to go to war.
This rock drummer Bradlee Dean needs to go back to school and take a course in world history.

RE: Today's Weather Report. What's It Like In Your Neck Of The Woods (Area).

Not that kind of stove. It's the little cousin to this one.

They look identical though. I'd be lost without my little stove. I'm surrounded by woods so getting firewood just takes a little effort.

RE: Today's Weather Report. What's It Like In Your Neck Of The Woods (Area).

24f -4c It started snowing about an hour ago, small flakes, no wind. We got about 1" of snow a couple of days ago. I got a fire going in my little box stove plenty of firewood in the house. I'll survive.

RE: Another shootinbg spree in the US

WTH, CS doing "Matches" now?

14 pics ages from 41 to 54 all from my area, DUH. 1 of them I already emailed months ago and got no response so there ya go.

WTH, CS doing "Matches" now?

I just got an email with my matches from CS. Of course they were all wrong. How do these dating sites get the idea that they can match people up? They can't possibly know what I like so why to they bother?doh

RE: Somebody here living in Fort Lauderdale?

As motels go your best bet is to find one a little off the beaten track. Motels close to the airport are always the most expensive. As was said expedia is a good place to start your search. Get a cheap place the first night so you have time when you're there to scope out better places and don't forget to ask to see the room before you take it or they may give you drek.

RE: Somebody here living in Fort Lauderdale?

I did a lot of research a few years ago prior to a trip to Tampa FL and found the best deal was from this outfit:

I would gladly rent a car from them again.

I just got a thank you note from the president

Apprehensive, fearful.

RE: What do you think of www.imesh.com. ...A program where you can download plenty of music

Why bother? Everything you could ever want is on youtube.

I just got a thank you note from the president

Tom --

I just renewed my oath of office to serve as your president for four more years.

Thank you for making this possible. It's an honor to be your president.

Now it's time to finish what we started -- let's get going.

RE: How many WOMEN actually LIKE to see these amoungst the interests of a man they are considering datin

It really depends on the kind of fishing you're talking about. Sitting on the bank of a pond staring at the foat waiting for it to move can be a yawn yawn But being in a boat in the gulf stream going about 5 MPH when suddenly a Baracuda hits your hook is anything but boring. Even drifting for Fluke of Flounder as your sinker bounces along the bottom knowing that at any moment about a 5 pound Flounder will decide to have lunch is pretty exciting.

RE: February Wedding coming for me and LadyBee42

Chinese Birth Tourism, The new invasion

It must work or the practice wouldn't be so widespread. Maybe they hide the US passport and say the baby was born in China?dunno Maybe you could ask somebody over there.

Chinese Birth Tourism, The new invasion

I guess the INS is too busy dealing with illegal immigration from Mexico to put any effort into stopping this practice of skirting immigration laws.

USA Baby Care's website makes no attempt to hide why the company's clients travel to Southern California from China and Taiwan. It's to give birth to an American baby.

"Congratulations! Arriving in the U.S. means you've already given your child a surefire ticket for winning the race," the site says in Chinese. "We guarantee that each baby can obtain a U.S. passport and related documents."

That passport is just the beginning of a journey that will lead some of the children back to the United States to take advantage of free public schools and low-interest student loans, as the website notes. The whole family may eventually get in on the act, since parents may be able to piggyback on the child's citizenship and apply for a green card when the child turns 21.

USA Baby Care is one of scores, possibly hundreds, of companies operating so-called maternity hotels tucked away in residential neighborhoods in the San Gabriel Valley, Orange County and other Southern California suburbs. Pregnant women from Chinese-speaking countries pay as much as $20,000 to stay in the facilities during the final months of pregnancy, then spend an additional month recuperating and awaiting the new baby's U.S. passport.

Many of the hotels operate in violation of zoning laws, their locations known mainly to neighbors who observe the expectant mothers' frequent comings and goings.

RE: Do you believe that social security will be available when you turn 65?

How did you manage not to contribute to SSI? Did you opt out?
It's a wonder that SSI is still around with politicians raiding the SS trust fund whenever they feel like it. Can you imagine where we would be today if W succeded in privatizing Social Security and forcing everybody to put that money into the stock market just before the recession hit? That was thankfully his big FAILURE.

RE: Obama's ring: 'There is no god but Allah'

The OP was nothing more than a TROLL along with a few others who have mysteriously disappeared since the election. I guess their sponsors terminated their employment when they lost the election, I mean, why keep paying these drones when it's GAME OVER?
Regarding the OP, these are a few of the ID's this "person" went by.

Likely a few more I haven't determined. Infesting social media sites is a popular tactic of Republican operatives. They have to spend all the millions they get from the likes of Sheldon Adelson. It's a lot cheaper than TV attack ads. Dems probably do it too but not to the same extent.

RE: Obama's ring: 'There is no god but Allah'

The day will come when we will have an Atheist president, a gay president a jew president, a Budist president. Heck, we almost had a Mormon president. Doesn't that affirmation of God thing go against the freedom of religion clause of the Constitution?

I actually had a Jehovahs Witness come to my door and tell me I couldn't have any morals unless I believed in god.wow

RE: Reactivating a profile

My profile was deleted a few years ago so I contacted CS and asked what caused that. They said it was a mistake, they were doing some house cleaning, getting rid of a lot of dead profiles with no activity for a long time and mine got cought up in it. They restored my profile immediately including all my emails.

RE: what are you listening to now?

That's a great song it really captures the feeling of living in a big city in the summertime. I met those guys once many years ago. They came into the place where I was working. They were in a black 1930's vintage car with Vermont plates on it.

RE: On a deserted island...

I doubt I would want any women along at all, esp not hotties because chances are it would create conflict and wouldn't get me off the island. As for who I would want I think bodeling and epirb because they are both fit and resourceful and seem to be survivors.

RE: What is the biggest achievement of man?

Mans greatest achievement has yet to be accomplished. It is no less than the awakening to the fact that we are in control of our own destiny and not subject to punishment or reward by any imaginary manufactured "Superior Being" with a beard and wearing a sheet floating around in the sky. The moment your heart stops beating your body will begin to decompose just like any formerly living thing and your molecules will return to the earth from whence they came. To believe that after you die, your soul (another manufactured item) will either float up to paradise or be consumed by fire for eternity makes you a fool by any measure. But by all means keep giving money to the people who are conning you. You are enriching them and keeping them in business.comfort

RE: what are you listening to now?

I don't know why but I love this song.
