no but there is always the same distance between to top edge of the boat and the water unless the load on the boat makes it sink further into the water. Then the distance from the top edge (whatever is called) and the water would be smaller ...

If load is the same the floating ability will keep the same amount of ship immersed in the water, so if water rises, ship rises with it ... because it's floating on the water not resting on the bottom

Yeah there's something about the catholic church and certain aspects of spirituality that just don't mix (in the eyes of the church)
Pity that ... as history has shown some pretty "evil acts" commited in the name of religion whereas spirituality has only ever helped people become more enlightened and pursue a way of life that is in tune with earth and the rest of the human race ...

Only reason I like a man to pay on the first date is so that I know he's not a leach who thinks he's god's gift to woman or such a tight b*st*ard that he will hate to spend a penny even when warranted..... If he hates to grab the first bill watch out girls!!!
