I plead guilty to the question rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

BAB Y P - Should the Director of Childrens srvices and all involved be sacked.

Those are my sentiments too - However it was not direct murder - The *management* on all sides *indirectly* murdered the child by the results of their faulty judgement, appaling incompetence, failure to put the childs needs first and buck passing over the whole of its life and they were fully informed by the police as to what the parent was dioing and the activities of her partner.

The only law that applies in this case is manslughter but I think it should be recommended that they should serve the maximum sentence with no remission.

On the evidence IMO, everyone involved on all sides should have been arrested immediately by special order of the Home Office, charged and brought to court to answer for their actions under trial by by jury in the High Court without any further delay.

BUT due to the stupidity and rediculous state of political correctness we have to suffer now we have no deterrents in law on any matter including murder, that was not the case.

Hi Cuddles,
Neeps is Swede - If you look here you will see the recipe for Haggis.

Take it from me, Haggis is a great dish to eat with neeps & tatties washed down with single Malt whisky - My favourites - Glenlivet, Glenmoranghie and Glen Fiddich

Och - Burns Night do's (late January) I did many for the Thanet Caledonian society each year before I packed up playing Drums, tha noo.

Pipng in the haggis is a nice traditional custom too.

BAB Y P - Should the Director of Childrens srvices and all involved be sacked.

The childrens Services director MUST have know what was going on

She apparently is NOT a qualkified social worker - SO What *are* her qualifications to hold such a job? My feeling is that they are all bloody parasites in the first place.

The whole Social services Childrens empire should be abolished and the NSPCC should have the same government funding as the local concils do and run the whole thing nationwide with alowable extra donations too as long as they are fully accountable to Parliament.

Evening standard quotations
THE social workers who failed to save the life of Baby P could lose their jobs after a new probe was launched into the tragedy.

Professional regulators today announced they had begun an investigation into the actions of those involved in the case.

The General Social Care Council, which registers all social workers in England, said it had started "preliminary inquiries" at Haringey council to see if anyone had breached its professional code of practice.

It has the power to admonish them, suspend them for two years or remove them from the register altogether, meaning they could not work anywhere in the country. The move could affect all the Haringey social workers involved in the child's care, including:

? Maria Ward: Repeatedly taken in by the mother's lies. She said Baby P seemed "well" four days before his death.

? Gillie Christou: In charge of the council's child protection register. She approved the boy's return home.

? Sylvia Henry: Took part in the decision to send Baby P back to his mother. She was also accused of lying in the Victoria Climbié case.

It will not affect the council's director of children's services, Sharon Shoesmith, as she is not a registered social worker.

RE: advice

I think you are right and not being over protective - It's right to let them have contact as often as they wish if its acceptable to you - but I hope you will watch out for the signs that they might be *persuaded* to go her way.

That happened to a younger work colleague some years ago where he had a similar problem and caught the kids drinking one day when he went around to his mothers while they were there as he had becoime suspicious. - He asked me to go along as a silent independent witness so I did as there were alreedy legal implications involved and the kids new me but not too closely.

It was difficult after that but fortunately the kids were brought up sufficiently mature to see alcoholism as abnormal conduct.

RE: omg its only

Cooor - Yopu ARE lucky laugh
One of my younger mates kids is *demanding* a special BMX bike that costs over £700 and his brother 3 years younger wants another smaller one that costs £300 and that is only for starters as the poor sod has 4 of the little criminals as we call them but Uncle Mike is probably going to be able to help relieve the blackmail.

RE: The Army Is A Shambles - Should We Get The Soldiers Home

OK thanks Trish - Its just that I have always got hot under the collar when I think someone might be forgetting or overlooking - I agree with what Rizla mentioned too, re the Ghurkha's and the appaling way the government of Thatcher, Major, B LIAR and Brown have treated them.

The finest people in the world to serve alongside, according to ex Army mates here who have served with them.

RE: The Army Is A Shambles - Should We Get The Soldiers Home

Trish - Please do not mock remembrance day.
Many older than you whose family members died in the last war to preserve our freedom to say our piece NOW deserve the rights to remember them every year. -

I lost four in WW2 - Three in the RAF, all decorated pilots and a PO in the Navy on a destroyer in the Atlantic protecting the convoys from the U boats.

We also remember it first hand and I especially have a duty to observe it IMO especially having taken the queens shilling myself with pride in the RAF at the time when we could all be proud of all our developments.

We all know that politicians are hypocrites and the MOD sabotaged the lads there now but people who lost relatives are not guilty so keep them out of the discussion !!
I have a serving relative too who is a lance corporal signaller who could be sent out anytime now - Chewing the fat here is not productive - lobby YOUR MP.

RE: Why do people choose to have children?

Medical advice from research also suggests the higher the age of conception also increases the chances of imperfections in the child.

RE: Whats Ur Fav.....

That is an ill-educated edictment of real bass players and guitarists.

While my tastes are primariulybwith Jazz and Big bands I also like to listen to Metallica and Yes , Bachman Turner Overdrive, Genesis, Queen, the Yardbirds, and Blood sweat & tears, BUT you have probably never heard any real bass players like NHOP playing with proper guitarists like JP -

The example I offer IS Jazz and only two expoonents of the art are playing, therefore, given that statement any reaction will be equally unsurprising but it will indicate to anyon who bothers to listen right through, positive proof that it is necessary to appreciate both sides of the art of being a musician before making such a narrow minded comment - as the audience reaction shows at the end - rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

NHOP = Niels Henning Orsted Pederson
JP = Joe Pass

Example

If or when YOU are ever able to play the instrument to the standards of NHOP which is doubtful your ill bred comment MAY have validity.

RE: who was ur

Not anyone in particular.

BUT I respected and have been very much influenced (some would say spolied or ruined) by my C.O's attitude influence, encouragemnent and management leadership from the front styles when serving on the A.W.D.S. in the 1950's for all my working life and even since.

RE: TODAY

I will never fail to pay my respects to all those who gave their yesterday for our today especialy having three decorated pilots in my own family who survived the Battle of Britain being based in Hellfire Corner but who subsequently lost their lives before 1945.

I had another Uncle who went down with the Hunt clas Destroyer *Puckeridge* as well.

We must NEVER forget

Don't make me laugh - That was just sarcasm - Not ME being serious - rolling on the floor laughing YES ?

FYI It is part of the british sense of humour and dare I say *Folk Law* for the people since the Oxbridge revolution of SATIRE in the late 1950's and early 60's against * authority* and it always applied in the services anyway.

RULE of Sod - after the revolution - If the perpetrator of such humour has a degree its SATIRE - BUT if not - It's either progressively - Rudeness, Sarcasm or Offensive according to the management level it's directed against.

Take your pick as to which one fits tongue devil devil devil

RE: traditional views

FWIW - If men are permitted to enter this thread, I am probably in a minority in today's UK climate as I hold to and respect traditional values and views on this and many other matters.

RE: You are the one!

OK - For peace of mind, stay away, say nothing and move on.

RE: You are the one!

I was confused. Now I think I see something here and I may be wrong BUT

If psychotic questions *why me, etc * came at me after I had met and dated a woman more than a few times, I would say she was too far into amateur psychology, self- analysis and/or, had paranoiod and Narcissistic tendencies, leaning toward full NPD.

RE: If given the chance, what would you change in your life.

May it be suggested by an onlooker at all the pseudo-intellectual dummy chucking and personal insults, veiled or blatant, that an even more appropriate answer mignt be seen if the combatants were to revert to the original question ?
