1) That he would return to Earth after his death during a time of great 'tribulation' to take the true believers of this faith to Paradise.
2) Other Islamic faiths were apolistics to this (e.g. fake)
3) That this tribulation would focused around the country of Iran
So? Does President Ahmadinejad still hold to this?
His main advisory group are the Mullahs of this Mosque of the 12 Domes. After his first appearance at the UN, he made a late nite meeting with them to discuss the speach he gave at the UN. He has regularly scheduled meetings with them.
So....assume he does adhere to this form of Islam......here is a man that can with nuclear weapons.....make a tribulation around Iran occur. Because surely when that launch is made or a terrorist device detonates in the world.....Iran is going to have some tribulation coming it way.

When I said earlier that to me this was a 50/50 deal that Iran would use them. This is what I was referring to. He has a extreme faith that would give him a basis to use them for a religous cause. Here is his problem....the ballots for the Nov 4th election.......about 200,000,000 of them. Will soon be at the printers office. With the DEM ticket of Obama/Biden to be printed on them.

But really Barak......you ran against her for months, your supporters degraded her and Bill, you were able to play the race card on them.......now make her the VP canidate?

It is not just Isreal, and the US forces in the middle east, and a military base in eastern Europe that are the present potential targets of a Iranian missile. Iran has the ability independantly to have ICBMs. She already tried to launch a small satellite, a few months ago. Global tragetting of any city in the world. She has all the necessary propellants, chemicals, metals, and other materials inside Iran to have them. She does not need Russia for them. Getting the designs and technologies....only shortens the time to have them. But she can do it alone.
So? 2115..or 2020....like the idea of Iran targeting the Irish airbase where the US has a multi year operational contract with? Of course not. Nor do the people of Paris. Or Berlin. Or Prague like the idea of Iran targetting them....because of a US presence or thier relationship with Isreal.
Just my opinion.....a Iran with nucs.....because of both a terrorist delivery and her missiles with increasing ranges.......is something that world needs to avoid.

Iran has been sanction 3 times by the UN Security Council....sitting on that council is not only the major world powers China, Russia, US, UK, France but 7 other countries choosen from the General Assembly. Seems like more than just a few bully power have problems with Iran's nuclear programs. Including all most all of Europe....that also has sanction on Iran.
The US went to Afghanistan to win vote for an Election. We were in Afghanistan a few months after 9/11 2001......with no election with 1 year's time. The US entry into Iraq was spring time of 2002, the mid term, non Presidential election was the fall of that year.
The next is the one wish to ask the question on. Does the world really want America to stay within its borders? Militarily? Economically? Humanitarian? Understand that our military also does humantarian work. So say.....keep our ships at home.....that cyclone aid to Mynmar and those helo in the Pakistani earthquakes will not be deployed in time to aid. Also I am beginning to think that Michelle Obama might have had a relationship with Dorn.....Dorn is Ayers accomplist in the weathermen bombings. Dorn has always been in the background of the Ayers affairs. She still attends his political meeting and does interviews with him.
By making Michelle hands off, Obama keeps her from being vetted for relationships like this. If she has them......they remain out the press. And no one is looking for them.

Islamic terrorism has a long history, yes? Much has been based in the 70s/80s/early 90s in the Med and Persian Gulf region.....over the Isreal/Palenstine conflict. If your plan to go after terrorism is just limited to those that did 9/11........then you really have not done much to the bigger picture of terrorism that is wide spread geographically into the Med, the Persian Gulf, and N. Africa.
If all we did was go to Afghanistan and hunt bin Laden and AlQeada, then all the rest would keep occurring.......
After 9/11 Ship, you saw the impact in the Moslem street to the events of that day. Bin Laden and AlQeada were going to have big influx of people, funds, and resources from all over the Moslem world. Islamic militia groups like Hamas and Hezbollah grew in size. Iran's power base within them grew as well.
A key point, Ship. The Russian/Afghan conflict of the 80s. bin Laden's 911 Brigade.......only had 5,000 foreign fighters in it. That is it. All these that were going to coming into the fray because of 9/11 were coming from other points. 1/2 of Alqeada 70,000 trainee had been sent out Afghanistan by 9/11 to 40 countries. They were not coming back to Afghanistan.
We needed to make contact with them (both the new parties and the those that been sent out of Ahganistan)....with our military. That is what a 'vector' fight is. You find a place where they will come to you. Where? Iraq. GWB says he can kill three birds with one stone.

They came from some 18 different countries. But as I have said in other posts.....the only time Hamas or Hezbollah talk to Isreal....is when Isreal holds a number of them in prisons. We got them talking and we hold the keys to the jails, Ship. Alot better than the other way around. Key your fingers crossed for a good out come on the talks. They have been at the tables for nearly two months now.......how often has that happened in the past?
Think that we would get Hamas, Hezbollah and Syria talking to Isreal.....just by chasing bin Laden in Afghanistan/Pakistan? I don't think so. Pressure Iran on its nuclear programs....by only being in Afghanistan? Again, I don't. It is a bigger issue than bin Laden and AlQeada, Ship. Iraq was our best option on a bigger issue solution.
Not a prefect one...or one that got explained well.....you don't tell your enemy you are laying a trap for them......but one that has the possiblity still to solve many of the world's terrorism issues.jmo
