My Father died on my Birthday. I was called in to the hospital early in the morning and was upset to see him in such a distressed state. I willed him to keep fighting but in the end I told him to leave and find his loved ones . I stayed until 7pm that night and had just got home when they rang to say he had passed.
To this day I'm positive my Dad waited until I had gone bless him.
I have read this article too, but what has that got to do with air quality? We are surely all aware that the sun heats our waters, therefore if the sea is getting warmer and melting the ice caps, then surely that would point to global warming.
Thwaites glacier is melting as the warmer sea is undermining it's base. Fact.
I rather think that people in general are fully aware of the dangers of this latest virus
The Asian flu outbreak caused an estimated one million to two million deaths worldwide and is generally considered to have been the least severe of the three influenza pandemics of the 20th century.
We then had SARs in 2003 though not as severe. All of these viruses from China. Scary stuff.
I'm an ignoramus when it comes to scientific jargon, but the video I watched on the news with regards Thwaites glacier was self explanatory and it did make me think about our future with regards the planet and global warming. I really don't think we should ignore the warning signs.j.m.o.
This last bit is the most interesting. London could be at risk of flooding by 2100
Quote Rising sea levels Thwaites is not going to vanish overnight - the scientists say it will take decades, possibly more than a century. But that should not make us complacent. A metre of sea level rise may not sound much, particularly when you consider that in some places the tide can rise and fall by three or four metres every day. But sea level has a huge effect on the severity of storm surges, says Prof David Vaughan, the director of science at the British Antarctic Survey. Unquote
