RE: benefits from smoking...?

They say that giving up smoking is harder than quitting heroin.

RE: A chat about fear

Good thread Lee.

Back in my younger days I was attacked coming home alone from a dance. I was aware of someone skulking about and kept an eye open Thought he had disappeared until he came from behind hand over my mouth and pinning my arms down I had my keys in my hand and swung the lower part of my arm at his face and hit him . He let go and the adrenaline started pumping. I screamed and swore at him, backed out of the side road as a police car came down the road. They caught him and I was told that he had phoned the Police 10 minutes before threatening to kill someone.

He was let go the next day believe it or not and I was told as I wasn't hurt no harm done.very mad

I have never forgotten this incident and was a bag of nerves walking to work every morning when it was dark. I still won't venture out at night unless I am with someone.sigh

RE: Do men or women...create the best threads?

Years ago on this site we had some great posters and very little aggro. I recall one about the poster and his speedo's which was hilarious. Some of the older members still here will remember but I can't recall his name. Him and Robert the guy from Malta were always at it with the banter.

Good days.sigh

RE: Do men or women...create the best threads?

Keep posting Galrads Any light entertainment is welcome.hug

Loud Mouthed Frog was the title of a children's book that I used to read to my kids. It was about a frog who was always talking about himself, and how great he was; the boastful know-it-all frog.handshake

RE: The elderly having babies.

Lovely to see you again selenite. You've been missed.hug

Feliz cumpleanos para Miercoleshappy birthday

RE: Do men or women...create the best threads?

Personally I just wish someone male or female would start some threads that we can all participate in without being attacked by a load of loud mouthed frogs. The Forums have become awash with attitudes and platitudes lately.

I'm sick of the arguments and "Let's all guess who the Twitter is?"

Who cares. yawn

RE: I Want To Live Here

Thanks so much handshake

Can you pop in for coffee and show me how I upload . I used to be able to do it but It just keeps going into " embedded from another site"

I'll get my internet guru to help me once we get back to normal.laugh

RE: I Want To Live Here

It's a stunning place just after Sandbanks which is one of the richest places in the world to live. We call it millionaires row. Dorset is a stunning county

I'm trying to master posting images etc but this may do the trick ,it's a video of Poole Harbour at sunset the large island that you see is Brownsea which is a haven for wild animals and run by the National Trust.

Hope you can view it Track.wave

RE: I Want To Live Here

Looks fantastic and far from the madding crowd, but a tad awkward if the outboard motor failed.

As a matter of interest this place was colonised in the 1600's by people 5 miles from where I was born in Dorset . They emigrated from Poole which has the second largest natural harbour in the world.

Thanks for the post hug

RE: Happy Birthday

Hi Bod.wave

I love Portmeirion a stunning place. I also loved the pottery and had some pieces many years ago.

I was working up in North Wales and went to a fantastic firework display one evening.
