This thread was never about the crime if one HAD been committed, it was about the extent that the U.S. Police force are now going to in apprehending suspects.
So they are saying he MAY have been holding a knife not that he was. He was walking away from the Police not towards them. He appeared to reach into the car where a knife WAS found. He also had his 3 young children in the car a fact of which most of you seem to have totally ignored.
You were not there so all is circumspect and this thread is NOT about what he did or didn't do past or present.
It's about a police officer losing the plot and shooting a man in the back at close range 7 times .
Do you honestly find this acceptable? Yes or No ..
I can read playing cards. Did it in Spain when I lived there . Not for financial gain though. The Irish used to be queueing at the door of my villa when they were over on their hols bless them.
Thanks Mikey I do try to look at things from every angle but in this instance some in the U.S. Police Force are becoming trigger happy. I've just posted the latest statistics which speaks volumes.
Jacob Blake wasn't playing a race card when he got shot in the back Pedro he was attempting to return to his 3 kids waiting for him in his car.. Look at the statistics I posted . It's not about colour it's about statistics and the results are not good.
People shot to death by U.S. police, by race 2017-2020
Published by Statista Research Department, Aug 6, 2020
Sadly, the trend of fatal police shootings in the United States seems to only be increasing, with a total 558 civilians having been shot, 111 of whom were Black, as of July 29, 2020. In 2018, there were 996 fatal police shootings, and in 2019 this figure increased to 1,004. Additionally, the rate of fatal police shootings among Black Americans was much higher than that for any other ethnicity, standing at 31 fatal shootings per million of the population as of July 2020.
I've just read through the last link that you posted re this story and this stick's out like a sore thumb.
''Amadou Diallo was unarmed, doing nothing wrong, and he was minding his own business,'' Mr. Warner said. ''In the mindset they had, that man was doomed from the minute they saw him.''
Is this the norm these days .? Has nothing been learned from these senseless killings and maiming of people.
You should have a word with your cleaner, she could knit you some face masks along with the ironing.
Can she cook? Maybe a few cooking lessons on the side . I hear you would like to be a pro [ chef that is ] My bro was a professional chef for the Officers Mess at Blandford Camp.
He was hardly going to use whatever he was holding as he had his back to the officers who were holding guns and was returning to a car containing 3 young children.
Whatever your opinion on this man and the incident it did not warrant pumping 7 bullets into his back at close range. That's tantamount to an execution.
RE: Are you a cat person or a dog person? Think carefully.
