RE: For the barking mad, the sane, and the superficially troubled.

They should be stunned before cooking, and most are frozen before plunging them into boiling water, It's actually a law in Switzerland.

RE: For the barking mad, the sane, and the superficially troubled.

Oh dear I thought we were having a civilised chat for a change. More info out there not just that one.

My apologies.sigh

RE: Scrambled Egg Brunch

Nice plateful ,pity about the toast. I hate soggy toast.

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was always the breakfast at our house on Christmas day with a glass of bubbly. Naughty but nice.grin

RE: Dolphin intelligence

Bigger brains Sawdust.wink

Bottlenose dolphins have bigger brains than humans weighing 1600 grams and 1300 grams respectively. Similarly to humans, dolphins have a complex neocortex, which is the part of the brain that is responsible for problem solving and self-awareness.

RE: For the barking mad, the sane, and the superficially troubled.

Not only mine T.C Lots of info about how animals communicate in the wild and also with humans.

RE: For the barking mad, the sane, and the superficially troubled.

Animals are better at telepathic communication than we humans are, because it is their first and primary language. It's how they communicate with each other. So we can learn from them by paying attention to how they hear and understand us.handshake

RE: For the barking mad, the sane, and the superficially troubled.

Back in my youth Bournemouth bay always had visitors from porpoises wanting to play.

RE: For the barking mad, the sane, and the superficially troubled.

I have had many animals through my life and I have to disagree. Although their conception of dying is not as strong as a human they do seem to be aware. My last dog had diabetes and became quite poorly so another trip to the vet's was needed. Whilst on the table and under discussion Daisy turned round and stuck her head in my armpit and I instinctively knew that she had had enough so chose to put her out of her misery.. It broke my heart to do it but she had gone beyond her illness and was suffering.

If you know your pet well enough you can read the signs .handshake

RE: For the barking mad, the sane, and the superficially troubled.

It is important to come from a place of love and tolerance though, not aggression. Put our fears to rest and develop a positive attitude and we'll reap richer rewards.

Just my humble opinion.

RE: For the barking mad, the sane, and the superficially troubled.

Such a wonderfully structured piece of prose that is so worth the read .

Somehow I feel the content may be lost to some people set in their own ideology and mindset.handshake

RE: Say Anything

Longer than that surely. Ralph married a Spanish lady. He had a very dry sense of humour. Political Pat still about but got kicked off C.S along with a few otherswink

RE: Do you like your bacon well done??

Best breakfast I have ever had was just outside Athlone . I'd been to the Irish Army's Summer BBQ in Athlone and we stayed over. It was fabulous.grin

RE: Do you like your bacon well done??

Me neither to be honest Selenite. I only use cheese in a sauce or maybe an omelette and rarely eat fatty food such as bacon if I can help it. I used to love a full English but not any more.sigh
