I'm English but my husband was from Dundalk so I used to bake Soda bread made with buttermilk. My G.P. was from Cork and always asked me to bake her bread for her. As you say nothing like a slice just from the oven.
Do me a favour publish and be damned then get it out of your system. Nothing you direct at me bothers me in the slightest. Unlike you I don't post on here to win a popularity contest and can take any criticism thrown my way without throwing my toys out of the pram.
What's the matter Hex .You losing your grip. All you can do is TRY to insult me instead of responding to my post in an intelligent and informed manner.
Go on then make it public. I've got nothing to hide or I wouldn't be back on here, though I really do wonder why.
I didn't derail your post I queried it, but as usual you tried to shoot me down instead of responding in an intelligent manner and insulting me by telling me I am unpatriotic.
Seems my age bothers some men on here. We don't all sit at home knitting .
Yeh right ,like your reputation on here is anything to go by. At least I don't lie about my age or anything else for that matter.
You are just words on a computer and know absolutely nothing about my lifestyle, so carry on with your warped analogy and nasty cutting remarks. You are incapable of debating anything in a rational manner and accuse me and others of lying or even stalking you. Now that really is a joke. How can it be a lie if you've copied and pasted it and I'm querying the statement.? I and others on here know you of old and I really do mean old.
As usual you will probably end up on the twitter A/C for all to have a titter, or is that Twitter about.
You actually are not worth any more comments quite frankly, as your copy and paste skills are redundant unless you actually bother to read what you paste. Just saying.
Well well well Wondered how long it would take you to stick your oar in .
Surprised you didn't mention Michael Heseltine and the Westland Affair and the cause of Margaret Thatcher's downfall .
I do keep up with the news even at 80 so sneer all you like matey and certainly no need for CAPITAL letters my eyesight is still good.. You and the Plymouth hoe are cast from the same mould it would seem.
Wales exports 2/3rds of it's steel to the E.U. so a trade deal is necessary to continue as a viable business.
According to experts, the effect will be noticeable across global steel markets – not necessarily via the actual prices but rather indirectly via the pound’s exchange rate
Farms etc subsidised by the EU is exactly my point if we are unable to secure a deal and walk. Most of our pork and other meats come from the Netherlands, Germany ,Italy etc and as you mentioned in one of your flowing epistles Lurpak butter which I use comes from Denmark. Watch the prices rocket if again we don't get a trade deal in place.
Now we come to the fishing industry. I'll just post this for you perusal.
What a disgusting comment. Mind you the sort I have come to expect from such as yourself
My thoughts lie with the farmers, fishermen etc .and the people who put food on our table . The steel workers, car manufactures etc etc. who have and maybe will lose their jobs. The people who put this country back on it's feet after the war who are now struggling to make ends meet.
Whereas all you think about is yourself and your imaginary lifestyle. The shame is on you.
We have not extended the transition agreement so any trade deals have to be established before this period ends .It's not just about movement of people .Our cost of living could go sky high if we have no negotiable deals before the end of this year ,due to high tariffs on imported goods.
True blathin and somewhat worrying. We have no trade deals in place or anything else of any significance at the moment. Whilst trade deals have now reopened, due to the current situation nothing is written in stone so to speak.
Get up to date old timer and less of the insults. You act like a petulant child as always when someone dares to question your posts.
Your post was from January we are now in July.
Brexit talks break up early as negotiators admit big splits remain as deadline looms. Serious disagreements remain as the clock ticks down to the deadline for a Brexit trade deal - and the deadline to extend the transition period passed.
That post is somewhat out of date as it was written in January.
Covid-19 has completely sunk the chances of a swift EU trade deal The current pandemic that is so damaging on a global scale, has made all talks increasingly irrelevant.
No I was born at the beginning of World War 2 ,my parents divorced at the end of it. I spent a lot of time with relatives and felt like a parcel. However it taught me to be self sufficient ,to learn how to cook and sew and to stand up for myself.
I'm a better person for the experience and have compassion for others which is sadly lacking in today's society in my opinion.
We have the same problem here as many Brits take exception to the amount of foreign aid going out to other countries instead of looking after our own people first.
This is an interesting read re the above. You have this paper in the U.S. I think.
That surely would depend on whether it would bother you to lose contact with said person. It would also depend on the content of the conversation and if it is to their advantage or disadvantage .
Sometimes it's good to clear the air between people.
If he gets in my way I just step over him Mikey. Makes me laugh with his persistent comments about my age when he's only a few years younger. He's been stuck in a time warp for about 15 years or more.
Please feel free to copy and paste where in any posts I mentioned anyone's name.
You making things up again, and for goodness sake stop accusing people of stalking you,. If you can't have a conversation without wanting to be the centre of attention you are in the wrong place.
