I don't come on the threads to win a popularity contest .Make of me what you will, it is of no interest to me. I respond to a comment as I see fit , and if people don't like it tough. I can cope with any insult thrown my way and let's face it many have tried.handshake

RE: Coronavirus: UK must prepare for ‘volatile and agitated society’ after lockdown lifted, senior polic

There is a world of difference between how Americans would react and the Brits.

The police are not "harassing " people over here just trying to get ignorant people to obey the lockdown rules for everyone's sake.

As for our all singing and dancing nurses well good for them trying to keep their spirits up under such dire circumstances.cheering

The British chin will always be up so punch away we can take it.wave

@ Tom

Would be interested in your personal opinion not someone else's.handshake

RE: Oooooo

May I politely ask what you were in past era's thendunno

RE: Oooooo

Not actually my "fav" but living during the 40's and the War as a child made me realise how well people can pull together during a crisis. We coped with food rations etc and the fear of being bombed.

The 60's are what I recall most for many reasons . Fashion ,music and so many inter cultural changes going on in the World. I recall exactly where I was when President Kennedy was shot. Some things you never forget.handshake

RE: What happens if we give but don’t get

Giving of oneself to help another comes naturally to some people. Then we have others that will always expect something in return.

It's all to do with one's character and what you perceive as "doing the right thing" to help others.

If I got a smile back from someone and a thank you for helping them for whatever I had done that would make my day.cheering

So pleased that it hasn't affected you personally H, but none the less a terrible tragedy for Canada especially as a policewoman was killed in the line of duty.crying

RE: I need your advice....

It's not just the stitching Mustang.

Are the colour of the straps even throughout? If so, it’s a knockoff
Is the patina more prominent around the top of the handle strap? If so, it might be real
Confirm that the style and finish are both correct for what Louis Vuitton makes.
Is the trim correct? No feet when there shouldn’t be, correct lining inside? If not, it’s a knockoff.
Is craftsmanship flawless? If not, it wouldn’t have made it out of the factory. It’s a knockoff.
Does the pattern match at every seam? If not, it’s a knockoff.
Is the stitching even and consistent? If so, it might be real.
Does the bag have patches? Most likely a knockoff, possibly a vintage French company.
Is there a short leg on the “L”? If so, it might be real.
Are the “O’s” in the logo very round. If not, it’s a knockoff.
Look for the date code. Is it in the right place? If so, it might be real.
Does the date code follow the correct format for its age? If no, it is a knockoff.
Is the LV on the monogram logo cut off anywhere? If so, its a knockoff.
Is the LV logo ever hidden under a strap or seam? If so, its a knockoff.
Is there a logo impression heat stamp somewhere on the inside? If so, it might be real.
Do the snaps on the hardware have the logo? If so, it might be real.
Does the hardware have discolouring or is not brass? If so, its a knockoff.
What’s your gut tell you?

For Louis Vitton zilch It's a fake.

For a Louis Vuitton I would have to have the certificate of authentication before I even considered making an offer. Too many fakes out there.handshake

He's a beacon of light.yay

What an inspiration

Possibly a Knighthood bless him.

Apparently he is going to continue with his walks but think he has beaten the record for monies raised by a single person. not a bad achievement for a 99 year old.applause applause applause

What an inspiration

Captain Thomas Moore on the last 10 laps of his walk for the N.H.S. Charities. He started out to raise a small sum of £1000

This man has now raise £12.1 million from 53 countries around the world. He is a beacon of light in a dark World.

Well done Sir.cheering cheering cheering
