This man has now raised over 4 million. How's that for a nonagenarian.

He's a testament to the spirit of Brits pulling together.

Captain Tom has now reached a phenomenal sum of £2.3 million pounds and still rising.cheering cheering cheering

What an inspiration

Captain Tom Moore a 99 year old World War 2 veteran has raised over a million pounds for the N.H.S Charities Together. His aim is to walk 100 laps of his garden to celebrate his forthcoming birthday when he will reach the age of 100

It was started as a small fund raising event yet has inspired people and the funds started to pour in from all sources.

A truly remarkable man and a wonderful gesture in supporting such a caring network of dedicated workers.

I tend to avoid tuna, usually stick to white fish and salmon. Not a great lover of red meat these days

RE: Women have strong immune system than men

Hi Tulefell,

Have to agree and there is a lot of evidence out there proving that women survive better than men during episodes such as this. Looking across the World at Covid 19 the death rate IS higher for males than females. We tend to live longer than men generally. Something to do with the chromosomes or so they say.wave

RE: Big brother owns you

Morning Lee,

I personally don't feel as if I am being controlled. I am in total control of myself and my thoughts but would certainly listen to advice with regards Covid 19 which I know absolutely nothing about except for the information that is out there.

Isn't it proving a point that isolation will aid in ridding us of this disease.? The death toll speaks for itself with regards how quickly it spreads

Yes it's proving difficult to instil social distancing ,but with today's modern technology we are not in total shut down. It's a question of balance and hopefully this will soon be a distant memory, though for many a painful one.handshake

RE: So, now Mr DT Rump is blaming the WHO for being China-centric

Why if you disagree would you agree with meconfused

My opinion is just that and I own it same as you own yours ,or is that beyond people's comprehension.sigh

RE: Should Churches be allowed to hold Easter Services when the COVID-19 'lockdown' is in effect?

That's what I would call Mass suicide if you'll excuse the pun.sigh

RE: So, now Mr DT Rump is blaming the WHO for being China-centric

We live in the World . Some people seem to forget that.

Just wish people could come on the threads and respond in a civilised manner without the need for put downs and personal insults. Present company excepted.handshake

RE: So, now Mr DT Rump is blaming the WHO for being China-centric

A global pandemic requires a global response. See he's had to back down on cutting off supplies of masks to Canada.

Wonder how much your prescription charges will rise to if Bojo strikes a deal with the U.S. over our meds. ?

After all you must be paying for yours as you are only 57.laugh

RE: So, now Mr DT Rump is blaming the WHO for being China-centric

You should be saying that to the other half of your electorate thenlaugh

RE: So, now Mr DT Rump is blaming the WHO for being China-centric

Morning from the U.K. Cossack Cat

I for one have no hate in me ,but as a member of the human race, I do have concerns for the way our World is being "managed" by certain leaders.

Each country wants to survive to the best of it's ability which is natural but not to the disadvantage of others surely. The expression" dog eat dog" springs to mind with some of the World's leaders quite frankly.

There is so much deprivation in many countries today that self preservation means little to me when I see families in dire circumstances all across the World.

Man's greed and the desire for power is squeezing the life out of humanity in my humble opinion.handshake

RE: So, now Mr DT Rump is blaming the WHO for being China-centric

Sorry Mikey but it is everyone's business when you have a loose canon running the White House.scold

RE: So, now Mr DT Rump is blaming the WHO for being China-centric

Morning Hex,

Not my country, not my President but yes you are right..

Such an egotistical narcissist who's self importance takes precedence over everything. He could start an argument in an empty room.

sigh
