Allen, what it felt like in the Vietnam era is for the men and women who went there to tell.

For those of us who stayed at home during the Vietnam Conflict? We marched and carried candles, hoping that the war would end. I was one who carried a candle at UVM, during the time when demonstrators were fired upon at Ohio State.

Money was not the issue. Our friends who had been drafted and who had enlisted were the issue.

Sad times for a generation who are now my age.

I tried this site and a couple of other sites because I live in Central Maine. I moved here three years ago and I like it because it is rural.

What I don't like about my town is the lack of social opportunities and highly educated people who tend to live in more urban areas.

At ConnectingSingles, I enjoy the forum and have met some like-minded people here.

As for dates, especially local? Nope :)
