RE: Who can actually cook in here ?

Chorizo - yes, it's Spanish or Mexican I think.

SPICY grin

There's a portuguese sausage I like as well...I use that in soups too.

Can you tell I'm a food freak?rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Who can actually cook in here ?

Thank goodness for dumplings!

I think the New England climate invented them grin

RE: Who can actually cook in here ?

Kielbasa is a Polish sausage. It's made from ground pork and ground beef & herbs. It's sometimes smoked too.

I use it as a breakfast meat too, with scrambled eggs, because it has more substance than bacon.

RE: Why get Married?

I can't remember if I have put my two cents in on this topic....

but as for marriage...I have tried it with numerous people and it just doesn't seem to make a difference in keeping the relationship long term confused

I do think it makes a difference if you are raising a family and having children. The matter of school paperwork, etc can be complicated. and don't forget the tax laws.

I would not bother with it again.

RE: Who can actually cook in here ?

I can cook....and always have been a cook.

Since I have plenty of fresh eggs from my chickens, I make quiche frequently. And fried eggs with hash browns and sausage.

Tonight we had boiled dinner with kielbasa, potatoes, carrots, onions and cabbage.

I especially like chicken & dumplings this time of year or a nice leek & potato soup.

And minnestrone soup...well, you get the idea laugh

RE: Omg the guilt

My Italian greyhound, Belle, loves to play fetch.

There have been moments when she has run into something like a piece of furniture or a doorway. And being a miniature version of a greyhound, she's traveling at a high speed wow

And she howls, she cries, she screams...

You'd think she had been killed right there on the spot blues

And then five minutes later, she's still milking it, but not at all damaged confused

She's such a diva dog!!!

RE: Skype - what's the deal?

Gosh, I forgot about Skype....

I used to talk to folks across the pond, but when I moved, I gave up using it.

Does it matter that my connection is very slow????

I don't want to bother with it unless the connection is quick and clear

I'm still unpacking from my last move.

I want to stay here.

It's too bad that online dating pretty much guarantees that the person you find will not be local.

Some of these guys...I've read most everything they've written for over a year, some more than that.

No one could hide their true colors for that length of time.

Most fakes and players don't stick around the forum for very long.

That'a the most rude comment I've ever received on this forum.

RE: Iambic Pentameter

"When in the chronicle of wasted time
I see descriptions of the fairest wights,
And beauty making beautiful old rhyme
In praise of ladies dead and lovely knights,
Then, in the blazon of sweet beauty's best,
Of hand, of foot, of lip, of eye, of brow,
I see their antique pen would have express'd
Even such a beauty as you master now.
So all their praises are but prophecies
Of this our time, all you prefiguring;
And, for they look'd but with divining eyes,
They had not skill enough your worth to sing:
For we, which now behold these present days,
Had eyes to wonder, but lack tongues to praise."

RE: ATTACK>>>>>>>>FOR ATTACHMENT.........

I guess so....

Prince posts these threads, but never explains what he is talking about or answers any questions.

I guess I'll give up on posting to his threads, because I need more something more personal and understandable from long term forum members than "click clicks".

RE: Christmas Time Traditions Old and New

I celebrate the Solitice.

Now that my children are grown, I don't do the Santa Claus thing and I'm not having a tree this year.

All my windows have a candle light and there's a grapevine wreath with a red ribbon on the front door.

On the 21st, we'll have a fancy dinner and then another smaller dinner on the 25th.

I'm making Xmas cookies, listening to carols on the stereo and enjoying the snow flakes falling.
