I guess what I am saying is that dating takes time, effort and then yes, the means for traveling to meet.

Here in Maine, house prices away from the coast and away from major cities are low.

If you're taking waterfront or in a major city in a posh neighborhood, the prices are very high.

I guess folks have to decide if they are ready and able to pay for location, location location

Otherwise, live cheap in the middle of nowhere like me

I miss Boston terribly

I used to live in Nashua, NH and Boston was an hours drive.

I miss the Museum of Fine Arts, the Aquarium, the Nutcracker at Christmas time and the Pops on the 4th.

I haven't been on the computer lately. Too much to do here with painting indoors and spiffying up the area around the house. My neighbor across the street is selling his place, so we are on a mission to have beautiful lawns and organized woodpiles

And there are pickles to be made

It comes in, pours on and off, then the sun comes out and it's back to hot & humid again.

I hope the sun stays out today, I'm taking my son to the local State Fair. I usually enter canned goods and vegetables in the Home Arts Building, plus I entered poultry in the Poultry Show last year. But with moving and renovating on the top of my list, I decided to not enter anything this year.

We're going to see the sights and eat french fries!!!

Gosh I hate Mondays

Today I'm going to start painting ceilings, which is appropriate for Mondays

I had an uneventful weekend but I did get a few things done. Finally got all my stuff moved from storage to here. It was mostly gardening things like tomato cages and hoses. And an antique wooden wheelbarrow which I cherish.

So, coffee and then paint
