So, as a species, are we heading toward the moment when we try to manipulate the weather patterns and the mechanics of our planet?
Reminds me of the line in Jurassic Park, when Dr Malcolm says, "Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Right now, I'd hire someone to watch my son so I could go to bed and get over this cold/ear infection that I'd had for a week.
Then, I'd put in a home security system to keep the neighbors kids from breaking in here while I'm away.
And after that, I call a travel agent, have them set up a way to fly me and my wheelchair bound son to the west coast to visit my son and grandchildren. I've never met my youngest grandchild.
I see the neighbor's kids passing by. They throw their McDonald's trash and soda cans in the brook and on the roadside. I smell the daily exhaust from their ATVs, go carts and snowmobiles.
The roadsides in Maine are strewn with trash, tires, plastics and it just stays there.
It seems like many people think that they can throw their waste just anywhere.
How long will it be before we are drowning in our own trash?
