I have to respond to this, because it really does offend me in a strange way.

I'm an oveerly classy women, but I'm also hard working, a homebody and a nerd.

Just because a woman is classy does not mean she is high maintenance and needs a man who can support her.

What's the opposite of classy? Trashy? Low maintenance?

Don't lump classy women into a group who expect a man to take care of them.

You might find that we are not in that group!!!

Many of us want to have someone around. Someone to share life and family and holidays.

So what's your plan for the next holiday, or do you have a plan???

On our first anniversary, my husband brought home a long, flat package.

The friendly elderly couple across the street saw him and thought that he was giving me a box of long stem roses.

In the box was a battery powered weed whip

I still keep in touch with those neighbors and we still laugh about the lack of romance in that marriage

They look good on the shelf, you're attracted and you want them.

Then you try them on and see is they fit, see if they are comfortable and if you want to have them to wear for always.

Sometimes shoes seem perfect at first but turn out to be unwearable

I think it has to do with the changes in what is "expected" these days.

Used to be that women were expected to get married. Now, they can easily seek a career and not choose to be a mother and homemaker. Or, be a mother and homemaker without a spouse.

And marriage is not as popular. Divorce is a commonplace occurence.

And when you get to be my age, marriage doesn't seem as attractive. Living alone can be difficult sometimes, but marriage doesn't have to be the solution to being lonely or needing some help now and then.

At this point, I'd rather have a roommate
