Wow, that does hit a nerve with me.

My last husband told me that as we were separating after four years of marriage.

That I was out of his league...

I wish he had told me that when we were dating or before we were married.

I'm not that jazzy or good looking

Maybe the problem was that he lacked self esteem.

Or it was too much of an effort for him to be the person he presented himself to be while we were dating...

My suggestion...be yourself at all times....

I think of it as more of a "male thing".
