RE: Your top tips for annoying the living daylights out of your partner

If she asks you about doing something together, say, "I don't make plans that far ahead".

Consistently say that when she's talking about something during the next hour... or day... or week...or month ... or year.

A Day With No Worries

You know what I want?

I want just one day when I don't have to think about anything.

No worries or responsibilities.

Nothing to do and nowhere to go.

A day by the ocean, with waves and gulls and warm sun.

Just lying there in the sun....relaxing.

What would you do on your day with no worries?

RE: Poisoning their own well

Well, thank you kiddo...I'll remember that.

And by the way, SWANS can afford EVERYTHING else grin

I'll keep my well...

And my house...

And my bank account...

RE: God, etc.

I'll look for it...

I think it's really interesting that people get so much from their beliefs and the rituals of religion.

Faith and neurons....what a concept grin

RE: The Dark Dayz of Singeldom is ahead...

I'm not going anywhere and it's just me and my son for the holidays.

But I'm going to make a big turkey dinner, watch the Macy's parade on TV, maybe watch some football and enjoy Thanksgiving (and Christmas) with myself and any neighbors who drop in.

RE: Does anyone here "play" Second Life?

I used to be a Second Life member...

But I moved and now have to use dial-up, which makes everything VERY SLOW!!

RE: Life, Living and Reflections

It leaves you with infinite possibilities grin

All of us wonder about our past choices and where we would be if we had made different choices.

And sometimes it takes time for love to bloom. grin

RE: I really need help from somebody who's been there

You're in a homeless shelter and you have internet access there?

Wow.

I suggest you find help with this in the real world.

What you will get here is sympathy and advice from people who have no clue of who you are and what your problems are.

That may sound harsh, but you need professional helpers (doctors, lawyers or trained counselors).

Good Luck

RE: It seems to me it's impossible to find someone here

No kidding rolling on the floor laughing

There have been so many boo hoo threads lately.

Complaining about not finding anyone is boring and not at all appealing.

We all survive and try to have fun here grin

RE: where does one go to find

Barnes & Noble grin

RE: Does anybody really know what they want here?

Dang, I guess I should have bought that Mustang convertible at the dealership.....

...instead of a new minivan sigh

Madeline Kahn played the part of Lili and sang that song.

RE: What's wrong with being a frog?

Bill, the Frog

There was a little frog named Bill.
He tried but he could not sit still.
So he leaped here and he leaped there
And landed in a lady's hair.

Her husband turned with great surprise
And bright green Bill looked in his eyes.
He cried, "Oh, Honey, look at that,
Where did you find that froggie hat?"

So Billy crouched and then he leaped
And crossed the street as car horns beeped.
He told his mom with tears and sighs,
And she gave him a bowl of flies.

Then she said, "You must take care,
Why frogs can't leap just anywhere.
You might end up like Uncle Dan,
They served his legs to the preacher man."

That story really scared poor Bill
And he shaped up as young frogs will.
He now says with a warning frown,
"A frog must know where he'll come down!"

So all you little frogs be wise,
Don't get too crazy catching flies.
Oh, one more thing and it's no joke,
You must be careful where you croak!

What Are Your Hobbies?

Absolutely!

And running, jogging, weight lifting and exercise at the gym....

There's nothing like those endorphins that kick in after extended exercise.

cheering

RE: whats your favorite vehicle that you have owned.

Oh, easy question grin

1968 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback, gold paint job, lots of jump to it hug

Unfortunately, I got airborne over a bump in the road and drove the oil pan up into something confused

It went into the shop.

My folks then decided that I needed a tamer car at college and I can't remember what they bought for me cause it was SOOOOO boring sigh

RE: What's your favorite kitchen utensil? Why?

I love my wok too rolling on the floor laughing

It's a Le Cruset wok, cast iron and is indestructable!

Oh and my Henckels chef knife....

Do we get two favorites confused grin

What Are Your Hobbies?

Someone on another thread mentioned that I have chickens grin

They're my hobby - I show them at poultry shows, incubate eggs for new stock & hybrid vigor and just try to raise wonderful bantam chickens.

I think hobbies are great - a good way to relax and have an interest outside of work and day-to-day chores.

Does anyone else have a long term hobby that they enjoy??

RE: Songs You Sing Out Loud When Alone

I crank up the stereo and sing "Il Mistero Dell' Amore" with Andrea Bocelli

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm weird grin

RE: Are You A Caregiver Or A Caretaker?

Yes, I am a caregiver. I have an eighteen year old severely handicapped son who lives with me. He has been handicapped since birth

My other two children are grown and live on their own.

My son doesn't have any other caretakers who are hired.

We do just fine grin

RE: What would you like to do to your worst ex partner??

I'd do nothing...

I've observed that some people are their own worst enemies, doing the same things over and over.

Like Sisyphus, in Greek mythology, who was cursed to roll a huge boulder up a hill throughout eternity.

I have faith in karma.

RE: What is the best birthday gift for a new man?!! Help!

Cheer up. Ambrose...

You can take me shopping at Home Depot for my birthday and we'd both be happy rolling on the floor laughing

RE: What is the best birthday gift for a new man?!! Help!
