I agree there, without pointing finger at one particular movie, sometimes the hype around one and the awards following it, seems completely illogic.
It would be easy to say "money rules", but sometimes it's not even a commercial push behind the hype, just something spread like a wildfire through critter ... sorry, twitter ... or similar.
I feel that you are right in a way, just that it seems to me that those pit bosses as well as the hooligans and bullies and their wanna-bees and supporters most probably live a lonely life somewhere.

Seriously? Well, I was serious - if distance seems an obstacle, then it is too far.
It takes 26 hours to reach the date line from here (great name for a place to meet...), and since most of us are grown up, hard working, social creatures that do not spend all our time in front of the computer , we will need a few days planning before we go meet someone, either way.
No matter if its 50, 500 or 5000 kms..
If it gets serious, we'll be happy we did - if not, we'll be happy for having that distance apart...
Talking of which, had a flirt doing that in front of me a couple of weeks back... never thought I would see such in real life. She used a lighter, not a tenner. Women...
