Someone took the wrong jacket

Someone took the wrong jacket

Hey guys.

At break for the Border last night. I lost my jacket.

I'm hoping that someone took it by accident.
It's a thin, black cloth with a silver zip and it has a set of keys and an ipod in it.
It was in the corner of the long seats.
If anyone has it, please please please let me know

RE: TV3 programme on now about the missing Leinster women

Tanks. It's ok. Long enough now to have dealt with it for the most part.
Just think the whole drama and sensationalism of it is just wrong.
I'm all for appeals and reminding people that these people have been brought to justice but tone it down a bit and give out numers. That's all.
Wrote to TV3 a number of times after that one and didn't even get a response.

RE: TV3 programme on now about the missing Leinster women

Igenerally boycot those shows ever since they did one a few months back on my friend who was killed. I watched it in the hope that they'd do something good.
They didn't they went over what happened and had people who had nothing to do with her talking about what they thought of her.
And in the end, didn't even give out any numbers to call if you had info or make any request for more information.
11 years this september and the media has just treated her like something to sell more papers or advertising time when ever ratings are slow
Sickens me. very mad

RE: self defence

I learnt the basics for defense in the Nightclub
Maybe it was the teacher but he taught is the most painful ways to incapacitate someone.
I think a lot of this really does depend in the teacher. All depends on whether you end up with Kobra Kai or Myagi??

RE: lost love

Forget my way.

Use his!! professor

laugh

RE: lost love

Richard Bach - “If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they're yours; if they don't they never were.”

RE: self defence

It can be. It raly does depend on the teacher. I went to a few when I was younger till we found one that was good.

RE: self defence

Are they hell!!!

I'd like to see anyone say that to someone who's really trained them. Boxing is good but like Muay Thai, teaches you to take a hit and hit back harder. Think kids should learn who to block and avoid first.

RE: self defence

Ah yeah. I get your drift. Still wouldn't go straight into the violent ones first. Better to learn the basics of defense and running and control. Then learn how to batter them when you have some self control. I don't think there's anything worse than a kid who learns how to hurt people without learning how to respect them first.

RE: self defence

Unfortunately, that'll be the case no matter what. I've done my fair share of self defense but if there was more than 2 lads, I'm still up for a beating. dunno
All you can do is teach him to take care of himself. The thing is to make sure he knows to only use it to defend himself from a lot of harm or, as my dad taught me, if it's to help someine else.
Golden rule though: It does not make you invincible. You can always end up against more lads who will fight dirty or just will only fight when they're outnumbered.
The last fight I got in when I was in town, I just got him to the ground and told him to calm down. Next thing I know, he was running off to et his mates shouting that I'll be sorry. Empty threat maybe but I still legged it. Better to move sometimes than see if a bad situation happens.

RE: self defence

Depends on the type. Krav Maga and Muay Thai mostly teach you to take a hit and then batter them senseless. The likes of Katate and Tae Kwon Do teach you to parry the hits and take advantage. Bit better for a child to learn.

RE: self defence

Kick boxing is ok, I've done the Thai version, muay Thai.
Kickboxing is generally used for fitness these days and isn't too violent. Would recomment Muay Thai for a 10 year old. It's a bit too violent.
Maybe a Karate class? Teaches a lot of discipline and self defense rather than straightforward ATTCAK.

RE: Ladies--pick the aftershave

ewwww. Good call. Stay away from it. My ex used to love joop but my dad wears it so had to explain that to her before we went out.... just in case. laugh

RE: errrrrrrrrrr

Oh yeah. The last dinner I made for a girl, I'd spent the night before getting the dessert just right and then kept it in the freezer, and I thought I'd do a chicken Korma for main.

Left it simmering and went out for what I thought was 5 mins. Guess it wasn't. Came back and it was a sticky black mess. Just as I was panicking, she sent a text to say she'd be about 1/2 hour late. YAY!!!!! Never made a Korma so fast in my life. Was just ready when she got here. grin

RE: errrrrrrrrrr

I made a Carrotcake for a charity bake sale in my last job. It looked amazing so my bosses clubbed up and bought the cake between them, then when they cut it open, the middle literally poured out. No idea why the centre didn't cook cause I'd done it 100 times doh
Needless to say, I brough in another one the next week to replace it (and prove that I actually CAN do it. laugh )

RE: desert--pick one

laugh

RE: LADIES BEDTIME FRIEND

He didn't say what the remote was for though. I remember a thread about a certain "toy" that had a remote. laugh

RE: Crisps

Sour cream and onion pringles! or Meanies. I always forget about them until someone has a pack. Then I MUST HAVE THEM

RE: advice pls

It's quite funny how pathetic you must be to go searching for this thread every night just to try to insult someone.

But, in saying that, it's also becoming boring to laugh at you now.

Maybe you'll find something in your life to make you actually "root" for people too rather than try to put them down.

I won't waste any more of my time fuelling your needs.

BYE!

grin wave

P.S. John? He seems to be the only person who thinks you might be a laughing stock. Everyone else on this thread was "rooting for you". Hope it goes well with this girl. handshake

RE: my last thread of the night/morning

I go out for four hours and nearly all the first page is new threads.mumbling

Busy people here tonight! laugh

RE: Favourite Movie

Can't do one.

RE: Follow-up on previous Thread: "God does not Exist"

Maybe I'm un-intellegent but simply put, are you saying that EVERYTHING exists simply because we have a word for what others believe? Do you elieve the egyptian God Ra exists because he have a name for it? And if so does believing in a different God not go against your religion?

(apologies if this has been answered before, don't feel like reading through 7 pages at 1am)

RE: advice pls

rolling on the floor laughing Cause I know EVERYONE from Bray.

I don't care if his posts are true or not. He seems happy from there. Good for him. dunno

Palefaces

Personally. Cause they must have looked at my pics and decided they want to get in touch with me at least partly based on attraction. I'd like the same oppertunity.

JMO though. Each to their own.
