Israel is being attacked at this time

Israel is under attack by Iran. Drones from Iran are on the way at this time against Israel.

Hopefully, Israel will defend themselves against Iran, and eventually put Iran in their much needed place. My country (U.S.A.) needs to stand behind Israel and help Israel defeat Iran's regime.

Pray for Israel and its people.

Welcoming actress Courtney Tailor...

CS has a new member... actress Courtney Tailor, who appeared in the 2016 movie Everybody Wants Some. Her real name is Courtney Taylor Clenney, born in Midland, Texas in 1996. She will turn 28 later this month. Not only is Courtney an actress, she's also a social media influencer. I'm impressed.

I'm not so much impressed that an actress would join CS, it's that 2 years ago, Courtney was arrested in Hawaii and charged with the murder for stabbing her boyfriend in South Florida.

Sniff, sniff... I can smell a rat.

It the culture dummy.

I read an article by a Negro gentleman. He spoke about the situation of his race. And said it is not racism. It is the culture. He is so right. It is a culture and attitude that keeps any race, sect, nationality, gender or whatever in the place they exist in. It is a cop out to blame any of it on those aspects.
Whether black, white, brown..whatever country of origin, it could be over come. Many have. When saying its racism, look at those who listened to the whine, the man keeps me down...struggled and ignored it.and succeeded. They ignored being told you will never amount to anything because___________!scold Shanty Irish, Pollack, Jew, Kraut, etc...they fill positions of rank in offices, government, medical, law, business, schools. They are lawyers, Doctors, store owners, movie stars, politicians, astronauts.
Culture is the issue. When any group tolerates evil or crime or slovenliness or rudeness because..he is one of us. It could be us. When a woman divorces a man because he never is home, has affairs, sews his wild oats, treats her like dirt, beats her, wont support the family and refuses to be a helpmate. And then raise her kids the same. Daughter, you do the laundry cause brother has better things to do. He gets to stay out at night cause he is a boy. In other words, teaches him or allows him to become a man just like the man she kicked out.
When someone shop lifts and the culture excuses it. When crime occurs and the culture turns the other cheek because there has to be a reason. Yes. The reason is because the group will stick together no matter what just because it is the culture of the group. Us against the world.
So easy to cry racism rather than admit it is a culture that allows and perpetuates what is actually stopping them from succeeding. Go tell it to James Earl Jones or that congressman or woman. The lawyer, the C.E.O, or your minority Doctor from the Dominican Republic.

Times,there a changing

Here in America things are going to get more challenging, with an open border (I mean no border) and the most important election of the future of the usa, one needs to truly start thinking and looking to protect and feed themselves and their loved ones as we are living in ( literal times of the book of revelation) our most challenging life times. From protecting our youth to political chaos and many things in between. People Get Ready ! I also want to throw this in and mention a very smart and perhaps good idea to take a look at this product " byrna.com" it could come in handy.

Because the glove didn't fit, they had to acquit...

OJ Simpson died from cancer this week. All the haters got another chance to bring up how they believed he murdered his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. The pair were stabbed to death outside Brown's condominium the night of June 12, 1994.

Prosecutors thought the gloves found on the scene were among the strongest evidence because DNA tests showed blood on them. In the courtroom, Simpson struggled to get the gloves and his defense attorney Johnnie Cochran, proclaimed “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.” Simpson was ultimately found not guilty.

If O.J. didn't kill Nicole and Ronald... who did??
All the emphasis was targeting O.J. and no one else. It was him or... nothing.

30 years later... was something missed?
I recall reading his son was jealous of Nicole's relationship. He worked in a restaurant as a chef and had access to an assortment of knives. There was a gate to the residence that had to be scaled and O.J. Simpson with many football injuries wasn't capable of getting over the fence, but his young son... probably could.

Sure O.J. acted like a fool trying to evade the police and all the other drama that ensued. Factually, O.J. may not have done it, but it's my opinion, he sure knew who did.

While there was no news of him being in hospice, his death (of prostate cancer) at age 76 came as a surprise. For those who were hoping at some point, he would reveal a fact (before he died) that didn't turn up in the courtroom. A confession didn't happen.

Take care of your home and your family

Take care of your home and your family

Taking care of your home and your family means more than what meets the eye at first glance. If we look at things broadly, they can be different... Firstly, we each have more homes than we realize... These are as follows, from small to large... 1 The house where you live and shelter yourself daily, either alone or with your family, 2 the house called a city, either your birthplace or the city you currently reside in, because just like in your home, you live in a city... (and I'll get back to this with another perspective) 3 the city called Country, and of course 4 the house called Earth, or the planet where we all live, which is everyone's home. Now... if at home you can take care of the cleanliness of your dwelling and respect or love the members of your household, whoever they may be... be it your mother, sister, father, brother, cousin, etc. Why couldn't we do the same in the other "homes" we live in? Because (as I said, I'm coming back...) if we think a bit, there's not much difference between house 1 and any other of the three... just as in house 1, (the house where we each live), there lives a mother, or a sister, or a brother, or whatever it may be, he/she, just as they live in the other houses called city, country, planet, only many more. We should understand that mother, father, sister, brother, etc., are yours, for you, but someone else's for others... but the same goes for others... if you say "I don't care about someone else's family," most likely the same will be said by others about your family and about you... because just like someone else, for you, is a He/She, you, for someone else, are a He/She, or Another, another... so if we want respect, we need to learn to give respect. We need to learn to be united as a family, because we are a family, whether we're a family living in the same house, city, country, or on the same planet... we are a family... we need to learn to care, and take care not only of the house we live in, but also of the city, country, and planet we live in/on... And just as in the individual or personal home, we can throw garbage in a trash can, not wherever we feel like it, like in the hallway, on the floor in the living room, bathroom, kitchen, etc... only in the trash can, we can do the same in the city, just as at home we can have common sense, we can also have it in the city. Just as at home we can appreciate the person who cleans the house, we can also appreciate the people who clean house 2 called the city or any of the houses we have (which I mentioned earlier...) Thank you for your attention, and I hope I've expressed myself clearly enough for you to understand what I want to say. Change comes with us, with each of us, but it has to start somewhere...cheers peace teddybear

FIRST PEOPLE TO NEW ZEALAND

The first people to populate New Zealand were the Maoris approx 1000 years ago. They made their way from Polynesia by canoe and were a warlike tribe who liked tattoos especially on their faces. Since then, the main skill of New Zealanders has been throwing a ball around, called Rugby, which somehow they learned from the British. Herding sheep is the other main occupation. Wearing masks is also popular.

Cellphone HELL...

With all the phones, tablets, laptops and computers I go through, I should be used to upgrades/changes by now. Last week, I took delivery on the Samsung S24 Ultra with 1 terabyte of memory. It's their flagship model that boasts a 200 megapixel camera.

Using Samsung Smart Switch app, I backed up the old phone to my computer.
The new phone came with a double end USB-C connector for direct transfer phone to phone which s faster than using Wi-Fi. Smart Switch is resident on both phones but it took a few tries to connect.

Nearly everything transferred and all the the apps and screen settings are identical. Passwords didn't sync and I had to setup Google, Gmail, Samsung, WhatsApp and Signal again. I lost my most cherished app called Gesture Search. Someone else is making a version of Gesture Search that is no better than a first year computer programming homework assignment. Hopefully, they will listen to the user comments and make an update worthy of calling it Gesture Search.

I'm estimating nearly 2 days lost for research to set the phone up where it actually functions to my liking. A handful of calls to T-Mobile support and so many calls to Samsung customer care and technical support I lost track. I had a 'needed to fix' list or the phone goes back to Samsung and I get a refund.
Some features are no longer supported so I have to do a 'work around' to get what I want.
Notifications both visual and sound are nearly there. I would have preferred to see a flashing indicator or flag to let me know there are unread messages or emails.
The phone will give a reminder beep after 3 minutes and briefly vibrate when I pick up the phone. Always on display is the cure, but that eats into battery time.
Most of my text messages are converted using the microphone... Well, they were on my old phone, but the icon wasn't on the top row of the keyboard as expected. A call to Samsung and I was told the microphone is no longer supported. WTF? microphone not supported.
They had me download and install Gboard which is Google's keyboard app. It worked fine and quick, but the top row with numbers (found on the default Samsung keyboard) required a function key and extra keystrokes to achieve the same results... just like my BlackBerry phone 20 years ago!

Not accepting the Samsung Tech Support solution, I reverted back the the Samsung keyboard. An internet search revealed, you can toggle the microphone on and off via a separate menu. It now appears on the lower corner and not along the top row of commands like the previous 4 cellphones did.

Now for the camera that cannot default to low resolution images. I guess Samsung thinks it's beneath the S24 Ultra and forces them to only shoot high-res images.
Images were distorted and out of proportion. I reset the phone settings to default, rebooted the phone and most of the camera aspect issues went away. Photos sent by text messages are large, but the file size is manageable. Probably 2.5 times larger than my old phone.
The phone has a serious problem with images appearing like a fisheye lens. Vertical lines appeared curved, especially noticeable when looking at buildings or geometric objects having straight lines. I downloaded Samsung's Camera Assistant that has a setting to cure that. I'll test it tomorrow when I'm out on appointments.

While my experience and product review with this phone has been mostly negative, the speed of functions and menus is amazingly fast. It does automatic translation when texting. A very powerful feature.
I'm holding the screen resolution at it's lowest setting of HD+ 1560 x 720. maybe later I'll experiment with the QHD+ 3120 x 1440.
All the drawbacks to using anything more than the basic settings is reduced battery time. I'll have to test it with lots of use, calls, photos, GPS and see if I need to activate battery saver.
(note to self: phone doesn't come close to rated battery life)
