Men, what are they like?
Every week day at one p.m. the object of my heart’s desire hosts a news programme on the radio.
Such as the name suggests going on an epic journey
A sonnet in tribute to the great Goddess Ceres.....she's so lovely!!!
Call me pedantic, but sometimes there can be no compromise.
Farming is a fickle business. You really must be willing to work with as well as wait for Mother Nature; and have tons of courage, cunning, and faith in order to succeed when so many others fail.
Much about rural life is living off the land..and in the forest there connects a winter's chore of cutting trees to a spring chore of splitting wood and stacking over a summer to dry...and then burning logs again the next winter season; as seasons wrap around seasons.
The most surreal images of a late winter day sitting by a shoreline.
A little fun with the sprinkler...
A tale of summer love.
I wrote this poem as a tribute to some of the good people I’ve met in the CS forum and blogs.
Hi to all of the CS poets - here's a sonnet of sorts Oh how I've missed what you all have to say - And hooray, hooray, I'm back online today. © lovecanbereal
My work sometimes requires me to visit people's homes, where I often get an insight into their lifestyle. This is an attempt to describe one in particular.
Playing on the sands of time and pleasure.
A traveling salesman upon meeting an old'timer Yankee farmer.
Silent prayer Angels around Healing hands Deep relief Missed Stargazer Secrets abound Foreign lands Your disbelief Shooting star Concealed starlet Ongoing nightmare Battle scar No regret Now your disguise is bare
LOVE IT!!
I wrote this over40 years ago its what happens to people that love the easy money
A black immigrants view of the US in the '20s, powerful and thought provoking. Have we really moved on? You could swap out the title with any other country and still the poem would make sense. That's indicative of the harsh reality of 21st century living
Is it that time of year With lots of cheer We wish you a merry xmas The cries ring out Music plays we wish a merry xmas I dont feel happy i feel sad Gone is santa his present un opened Lies where it was a decade ago How the spirit broken
Dedicated to cafetwo2010
There is a Native American mythical institution that promotes the balanced use of natural resources: the figure of the Master of the Animals. Every animal has its master its "balut", a figuerative spokesperson, who simultaneously facilitates hunting and severely sanctions its excess. In this figurative sonnet I have chosen the old custom of a rain dance so this lesson can also apply to the way we use and regulate our water resources among the other more 'notable and finite' resources we can relate to. Greed will be the ruin of us all, unless us children (i.e. little people) pray and plea to a higher Being.
“How You Shine.” By, Michael P Clarke. (Sonnet.) Like the midday sunlight how you do shine Your Love shines brightly just like molten sun In dreams bright passion your Love it is mine Blessings upon me for i am your one. Above your head
Have you ever watched the last night star extinguish from the night sky holding close the one you love? A wonderful feeling. Let the love flow.
I had a dream and wrote it down in Sonnet form. The dream was love.
What passion has she awoke in me What hunger she made me feel Never had a woman touched my very Soul As if she walked right through me Taking residence in my heart Her lips embrace me Her breasts bid me come Her legs wrapped around me li
Trying to fathom the deepest sense of despair of those who have no place to call home.
Winds howling whipping tearing their way thru Currents strengthening swelling with their pride You yes you begging from release from lies Damn them they will not have a place to hide Moonlight shining on darkened battlefield Yell
Pablo Neruda Love Sonnet XI I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair. Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets. Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps. I hunger for your sle
Abstract about how two items in the universe attract and collide despite all the forces that propels them away from each other...kind of like love and physics....maybe....perhaps??? :)
Love just is.....it doesn't just pretend to be....
Within Elysium Dreams love does shine.
Just thoughts and ramblings.
Modern Interpretation.. I’m not like that other poet who writes about a woman who’s pretty because she wears a lot of makeup. In his verses, he compares her to heaven itself, and to every other beautiful thing—the sun and moon, the rich gems of earth and sea, the first flowers of April, and all the rest of the precious things on the face of the earth. Since I really am in love, I just want to write the truth, and when I do, believe me—my lover is as beautiful as any human being, though maybe not as bright as the stars. Whoever actually likes those love-poem clichés can say more; I’m not trying to sell anything, so I won’t waste time with praise
I'm just in Love !
WE CAN SEARCH FOR TREASURE, STORM THE GREAT WALLS OF THE KEEP, OR HUNT ALONG THE HILLSIDE WHERE GOLD IS BURIED DEEP. WE CAN QUEST ENDLESSLY FOR SOME GREAT HIDDEN TROVE AND HUNT FOR SPARKLING GEMS WHEREVER WE MAY ROVE. OVER LAND OR SEA OR WAY
A gem's a stone that's rare, but cold inside; - A true gem's in the heart the other hides. When we find that rare one who understands, Then we are privy to those exotic lands. No one can define this thing called "love" That strangest feeling
My cat passed away and I wanted to remember her.
GOD Motivational write up has always been my inspiration.
In surveying the general political scene world wide, economy of truth appears to be ' stock on trade', ushered in by smooth rhetoric.
I lost my cat my cat a month ago and finally I wrote him a homage. Life is fleeting in our world but our memory remains our companion through time.
