Well I work hard for my money, and take the time to have a shave and put neat clothes on. I dont do this so I can watch somebodies dog trying to cut one loose or hear squabbling brats running amock. So I say ban all dogs and children. Filthy disgusting mongrel things.
Unfortunately its incremental. A dog under the table, sure no problem. a morsel here or there being slipped to a well behaved dog, hey no problem either. Then a dog on somebodies lap or being carried, umm a bit close to my food... somebody letting their dog lick the plate, ewww
And the death of a thousand cuts- he/she can take her dog so I'll bring mine... Well there's 2 or 3 dogs there already, and mine is really cool... Somebody slips a morsel or drops a sausage, and there are half a dozen dogs fighting.
I have been wondering where and how this will all end. Will we become more or less immune to it and just have a list of offenders each week between the sport and the weather, will somebody blow their brains out on live TV and then be found to be completely innocent, or does it continue as it has been going for ever more?
I mainly use olive oil for everything, I buy the 4 litre tins of virgin or extra virgin, when they're $20 or so.
I'd probably use butter for making pancakes or cakes, on a boiled spud maybe.
Margarine is great for camping, butter goes rancid and attracts flies and insects, so at that amount of usage its probably fine. I dont get the cheap and nasty stuff.

Many dogs are, and many chilren are, Well behaved. They're not the ones I'd be complaining about.
