Things I can't explain

It's a great feeling on Friday night, knowing I don't have to get up on Saturday at the same time as I do in the week; yet I always do get up at the same time. dunno

It's the little clock in your head Herbie.wink
I often get up earlier on the mornings that I don't have to.
But it is still the thought we don't have to get up that is the comforting part.
I often wondered what made me tick, daniela. hmmm
And I'm comforted to know there is someone else as strange as me, molly. flower
So you're a morning man then are you Harb roll eyes

But good for you being able to manage it six mornings a week banana

Harbal, do you have the same feeling on a Saturday night too? Why didn´t you mention that, have you something against Saturday nights?
He goes to church on Sunday morning.
for thirty8 yrs on my job I got up around 5 am now being retired still seem to wake up at around 5 but manage to get up at seven. old habits die hard.
Sundays and Mondays, no morning alarm clock for me, I know I don't have to wake before 10 if I don't want to.

I usually wake up earlier than on the other days sigh

My next user name will have 'contrary' shoe-horned into it somehow.
It's a great feeling wearing old rotten jeans, what would not be the case if I could not afford to buy a new pair.
I usually wake up at 3.51am.

Do you feel better about yourself now, Harbal? laugh
More like one morning in six, Itchy, if were talking about the same thing. sigh
Yes, Bn, I like Saturday nights too, but not as much as Friday. dunno
Someone has badly misinformed you there, Miguel.
That's what time I have to get up, string, 5 a.m.
As a fellow contrarian, you have my sympathy, Biff.
I used to work continental 12hour shifts, so sleep patterns were help .

These days I refuse to get up before 7am, so read until the dot of 7 grin even if I woke at 5frustrated laugh
I sleep in every morning.i love it.
That's a very good way of putting it, bloody, it describes the situation very well.
I spent many years getting up at a similar time, jac; knowing you have to do it doesn't make me feel good.
That's very self disciplined, EX.
I sometimes allow myself 20 minutes extra if I've had a late night, Blue, but not a minute longer. scold
I don't have to wake up at 3.51am, I just do.

I blame my daughter. I once took her to a playground and when we got there she said in a very disappointed, whiny voice, "Oh no! Children gone home!"

I think my voice was more gravelly, than whiny when I replied, "No, the normal children aren't awake yet!" laugh
That's what I call dedicated parenting, jac.
Jac you nutjob!! Who takes kids to the playground at that time?? Were you meeting Freddy Krueger or what?frustrated
That's a very healthy habit.

It's good to go to bed and up at the same time...no matter if it's a work day or not.
I can't tell you how pleased I am to learn that I've got a healthy habit, Dee. wine
Even when I sleep late I'm up before the rest of my circle of friends and family. Weekends hardly have any more meaning now that I'm retired (for the most part). I can'r use the excuse to leave early anymore about having to work the next day.

3am is no stranger to me.
If we're talking bout the same thing Harb like I'm sure we are roll eyes

Well take care when next pulling my leg, me bones ain't what they used to be uh oh

I used to have to get up at 3 a.m., Fay. uh oh
If I ever get you in that position, itchy, I will be gentle with you. wink
I often wake up at 3 a.m., Kal, and then go straight back to sleep.
Yeah.. Me too sometimes. giggle
