Meeting an old friend at my new job!

Today was the day where I was starting my new temp job. It's a great one, which I really hope can pan into something permanent.

During the early hours, one of the other temp agents went "Hello you!" to someone behind me. I looked back and said "Hello you!". It was one of my friends that I hadn't seen for 16 years. Me and her went to school together, so the last time I saw her was when we graduated. She didn't look different at all. She looked like she always had looked.

We caught up during the first break, and then we went to our different stations.

Other than that, my first day went very well. But I did strain my wrist, so that's a bummer. But the pain isn't unbearable, so I will turn up tomorrow to continue working. I really want this to be permanent!

I keep my fingers crossed for you, at least you have one friend at the moment there. Cold compress for wrist will be right as rain tomorrow
How did you strain your wrist? Were you thinking of your friend instead of making the sandwiches?scold
With me it would have been making the sandwiches that did it, Bn.

Refer to previous blog but one if puzzled. pointing
I hope your wrist quits being painful real soon and I too will keep my fingers crossed for your job.
Fingers crossed for you! wave
WOW! Even for danish standards, that was quick......even if it's through a staffing company, because in a previous blog you wrote that you were going for the interview on monday.....not that you were also starting to work on monday. I thought it's usually you go for the interview, then they take a few days to process your info etc, before they call and offer the job. However, congrats to you.

"I have been looking at applying for a warehouse job, close to where I live. It's through a temp agency, and I tried to apply for it, but it failed. So I wrote the agency. They replied with a phone number I should call, so I did.

They want to see me for an interview on Monday at 10 am. I hope I can start working the following day, since it's usually how a temp agency handles their workforce."
