Pumpkin Fall
I can't imagine how beautiful fall is in the land that grows trees with changing colors. In my flat neck of the woods we only have two colors, green and dead brown. However fall still brings me the craving for aromas. I love the pumpkin spice aromas left behind from baking. I didn't realize just how much until I treated myself to a large coffee drive through and asked to have a shot of pumpkin put in.
After completing my chores, that first sip just brought pumpkin fall into my nose. Oh wait I just took leave of my senses - I have to go cook something for my nose to smell. Well that first sip just set the stage so Let Fall and pumpkin cooking begin.

Garden/culinary hint -
The BEST pumpkin pie is made from Buttercup or Butternut Winter squash.
Both types have their devotees and both are excellent - much like Roma & San Marzano tomatoes.
I like to take photos of it from the other side of a still river to get the upside down reflection in frame too.
