The United States now has more than 1,000 people infected with coronavirus — but testing in the U.S. is still ramping up, meaning that number could continue to climb.
Meanwhile, the governor of New York has questioned the number of people who have been tested for the virus in the U.S.
“When they do the retrospective on this one, they are going to say, 'Why did it take the Unites States so long to bring up the testing capacity?'” Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on TODAY on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Cuomo announced that he was implementing a "containment area" around a one-mile radius in the city of New Rochelle, home to the largest cluster of coronavirus cases in the country.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have said that more than 8,500 specimens have been tested for the coronavirus across the U.S. Because multiple specimens are required from each individual, the number of actual patients who have been tested is likely far lower.

Here in New Jersey there's 23 cases and 1 death thus far. The leading NJ universities, Princeton & Rutgers, have both decided to offer online instructions and to cancel in person classes for the near future.
Both Philadelphia and Boston have canceled their St. Patrick's Day parades due to the threat of virus spreading in crowds. In California the Coachella music festival is canceled for the same reason.

When you listen to other media they say your president is misleading the American public.
Americans just do what other countries are doing to stay safe if you can't trust your president.
Their rate of death from coronavirus is far below that of the USA.
Whether it will be the 'straw' on the back that causes the eventual revolt due to inequality is yet to be determined. Perhaps the next election will be either a better barometer, or that straw. Both are also yet to be determined.

Probably about 30% "Socialism" (Read well implemented Welfare/Social/Community/Health/Housing, etc); with the 70% remainder made up of hard-nosed Capitalism. (Or a similar proportion/percentage). It has been well proven, over the years, that neither system, can operate, in a fair, sustainable, and functioning way, by themselves. The current inequality, has been caused by the bottomless greed of a minority. Not only has this rampant greed, destroyed the potentials of countries, where it operates unchecked - it has also destroyed the Environment, as is now becoming plainly manifest.

Great that we can converse here without the foul mouthed attacks...I agree that a mixed system works best...the ratio should be dependant on the issues of the various countries which could be quite different in scale of need for social assistance...
I do not think universal healthcare will break the so called proverbial bank...what has been said by the fortunate few who are still insured...and well off...however...a two tiered system can work...New Zealand is one country that the USA could look at in terms of affordability and to appease the people who are not so sure...
Once they figure out if weather affects the virus and the other variables regarding the virus...people will begin to breath better...no pun intended...lol...
