I now know when my introductory course ends! + replies from companies!

I called the school today, to inquire about the end date of the introductory course, because I need that information for my contact at my council tomorrow.

I start on the 18th of January, and I finish on the 11th of June, two days before my 37th birthday. Which means that I will start the main part of my education shortly after my birthday. It's quite fitting, really. I have made some plans just now about how I would like to approach 2021. I have decided to be a LOT more healthier. That means limiting my intake of coke to the weekends only. You might ask yourself "But Philipsen, what are you going to consume during the weekdays?"

Well, fruit, nuts and water. And, of course, some healthy food! That means having the mental attitude to pull it off.. I am, hopefully, able to do that. I am WAY too unhealthy. I might get some exercise in as well, but one thing at a time.

Yesterday, I wrote to a company close to me, asking if they are accepting trainees. They replied today. They wanted to know my age, location, criminal record and if I had a driving license. I supplied all the information, and they got back to me a few hours later.. "Sorry, we are not accepting anyone over the age of 25".. So that's dead.. Hopefully the other place I wrote will accept me when I get closer to finishing the introductory course!

That's surprising. I could understand them not wanting to hire someone under the age of 25.
But, I would think it would be a benefit to have someone a bit more mature to transport their goods.
It's not like you are 80. laugh
Hopefully, that attitude is limited to that company.
They dont want anyone over 25 as they can pay new people less.
Is age discrimination legal in Denmark?

Employers have to be a lot more sneaky turning someone down because they don't want to pay over 25's minimum wage in the UK.
