Happy New Year 2011
Was upset when the boss told me I had to come to the office on December 30 and 31 for data clarification project. My colleague’s parent passed away that he had to return to his home town. And who has to do his pending project? Right, yours truly.
Have been working very hard since Monday actually, as I thought I could take leave. But at the end, I had to work until really late on December 31. Everyone else in my office floor has left. I was the last person.
Took a cab to go home. The traffic jam was the worst in the year, as people came out and hang around the street. It took me around 3 hours to go home. Fortunately, my cab driver was quite patient. And I did appreciate that. I gave him a BIG tip.
It’s New Year’s eve here, but I still have office work to do. Poor me.
Hope your New Year’s eve will be as remarkable as mine. Oh I have free view for fireworks from my house roof. Very nice, indeed. I have couple minutes to enjoy it with a glass of chocolate milk. Happy New Year!
