My impressions of Cork

While I dislike flights, I certainly love being able to see how other people live, how history comes alive and ... I love the diversity in food , beliefs and cultures. I left for Ireland at the end of October, returning two weeks later. I really enjoyed the trip.

Hi Abagail, thank you for sharing this lovely photos from Ireland. Some day I want to go there and have a look around, it looks so pretty. But I'm not so much into Churches, but give me some castles and I'm with you. hug hug
Hello Welela,

I adore the old buildings. Churches ( as buildings) fascinate me. When I was over in Ireland in July... I got to eat in a castle, I went to a dinner show there. (Actually I got to do that in Wales and Scotland too) So I can see your fascination for them. Blarney Castle has incredible gardens to explore too,I have only shown you a small selection.

Thank you for coming to have a look at my photos. bouquet

thumbs up Abagil: Those are great photos. It is nice that, you enjoyed yourself too!
Chocheta...Thank you. I had a wonderful time on this trip. It was more laid back and not having to pack my bag every day and move on was sooooo nice.

Nonsmoker...Their accent? Or just that it's a city. I didn't find it particularly noisy.

Redex ...AND the best part for you is... it won't take you 30 hours to fly there!!! It took about an hour and a half on the flight. The ferry took about four hours last time in July.
Redex...to further elaborate... I should say, it took an hour and a half to fly to Cork from Manchester, and then about the same to fly to London. The ferry took longer, but it's a nice trip. Coming from Australia, it's still about 30 hours once you transfer flights.

ChristinDew ...You are very welcome.

Twazzle70 ...It's very different to England and yet... similar. It's terribly hard to explain. It's going to be interesting to hear about your impressions of Ireland. I hope you blog about them. smile
Zmountainman...Should I ASK what you have been doing to your screen???

India30 ...Thank you on both accounts!

Angelpepper ...Thank you. It was a really lovely trip. We also went to Cork Opera House to see "Kiss of the Spider Woman"... which was very entertaining. (Obviously you can't take photos in there)
Forgetting to clean it doh: I suppose I should do it every time I clean my reading glasses, the difference in colours is amazing wow laugh
Um, Z... I don't want to admit to thinking the worst...but it seems I did. blushing
thanks for the insight abigail...will make a point of blogging about it when the time comes...beer beer
You are welcome, Twazzle. Sometimes it's the only way people can travel is to explore other's adventures online. It makes it so interactive, because you get to ask questions and read about their impressions. I have a friend who just returned from Spain and she shared the most incredible photos.
did ya get to kiss the stone ?
