England... Wales... Ireland

My travels took me to see places I truly thought I would never see... and I started the second of my tours in England. (again)

I found it harder to skim through my photos and choose less of them to share with you about this trip, so I am going to simply start with this blog and share a little of what I saw.

I was utterly fascinated with the UK/Ireland... and plan to return as soon as it's possible. Even though, the flight is one of the worst I have had to endure. good luck

Great pic's thank's, how long have you been in the UK/IRL?
Thank you, Connect.

I left the UK on the 30 July. Work really gets in the way of my social life... smile I had to return to Australia because I only planned to be away for a few weeks. (I was over that way for a month)
Very nice picture and Im glad you had a good time
but the question is "have you met someone"flirty
Nice pics. I haven't been to 'the old country' yet, but may go there someday..
Abagail

Thanks.

Thank you Dedovix. I met lots of people on my journey...as you can see, I even met a couple of sheep. grin
Ken, for me, it was incredible...the journey made sense out of stories I had read as a child, nursery rhymes and history books.
You are welcome, Fotinia.
They are lovey abagail have you a favourite wave
Mike, I loved Ireland... from all the places I visited. The sheep look relatively relaxed there considering the farmers have dressed them up in red dots.
That is the cork colours all ireland is pround of this county rolling on the floor laughing
Sheep coloured red? Or...red on white?
Oh, thank you for these lovely photos to see Abagail. They are so nice. It's good to understand you had a wonderful trip, but I still think you missed a lot by not coming by Scandinavia. grin
Have a wonderful weekend sweetie, and thank you.hug teddybear
Hi Aba, Glad you enjoyed your time over hereirish handshake wave
red and white are the cork colours at the moment there are flags on all the houses because there is a match coming up the weekend
Thank you, Welela. I have so many places that I have never seen, but the flights are so darn long.
Is there a match coming up Mike?grin ....think its a little more than thatlaugh applause Good Luck!beer
Ravens... it was the people, the relaxed nature and the scenery.... There is so much to like in Ireland.
I can see you wearing red and white, Mike... going to have shiny black boots with that outfit, are you?laugh
Raven yes it is but she is australian and a woman so hardly will understand no point explaining go on the all blacks tongue
Mike, have you been told today? tongue
Aba....again, I am glad it lived up to your expectations, especially as the journey is so long and I hope you get to come back again one dayhandshake wink wave
Raven, I am already planning my next trip... even though there are people like Mike there... I really liked it. batting
awww shiela i mean Abagail i am joking gday rolling on the floor laughing
Michael, go to your room! scold
ya didnt get your leg over.....hadrians wall i seeconversing
Indeed, I did in fact see and stand on Hadrian's Wall. What I found interesting Benni is that they are not preserving it.
and who'd pay for the preservation ,the english, scots or adrianlaugh:
Well the bit I saw was in a residential area...I was rather surprised that it was not preserved at all... As for who would pay... well, I guess it depends on whether you want it to attract tourists.
No point maintaining Hadrians wall as they're waiting to see if the Scots vote for independence, then it can be replaced by something more like The Iron Curtain" wow laugh wine
lol@ Z... I understand that historically it has some bad memories, but so did the wall in Berlin...which they are now preserving
how long did it take to do the whole european thing abbi?
I went on two Cosmos tours, Benni. I went on a 13 day one of the Imperial Capitals... Once I ended that... I went on a 15 day tour of the UK/Ireland. I also had a couple of days in London at the beginning of the trip, and one day at the end.
trip of a lifetime .
abi hi,as always tourists see the nice bitslaugh did you get to see the inner city estates that are rundown and forgotten?cheers
Benni, I thought that last year when I went to Canada and the US... seeing New York and Washington was incredible. Niagara Falls... breathtaking.
Scouse... I didn't actually get to see much of anything off the tourist trail... Which I found disappointing. I love exploring off the track usually, but I had to fit as much as I could into the trip.

I did take photos from the coach windows of the rooflines and the chimneys...they fascinated me.
The Roman infrastructure still remaining down here in Spain tends to be quite well maintained .......has to be as we're still using it laugh laugh rolling on the floor laughing laugh
laugh Well all the better for the tourists to see, Z...
SCOUSE JUST ON THE QUESTION YOU ASKED ABAGAIL AS ALWAYS ON TOURS YOU NEVER ARE BROUGHT TO THESE AREAS
I REMEMBER BEING IN GENEVA ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO AND WENT WALKING WITH A MATE AND WE FOUND A LITTLE CARDBOARD CITY ,DOZENS OF PEOPLE LIVING IN A SHANTY TOWN MADE FROM CARDBOARD ,IN AN EXTREMELY RICH CITY
I THINK LOTS OF CITIES HAVE THESE AREAS wave
