The last of my trip...

After Scotland...I went to Jedburgh, York, Sheffield, Stratford-Upon-Avon and returned to London. There was no sadness about the trip ending, because I had well and truly gotten over packing a suitcase up and changing beds... I longed to be in my own bed.

The last night in London, I went to a show. I went to see Wicked. The last day I caught up with another friend I made in New York last year.

nice pictures .......but what did the place smell like ? wave
Anne Hathaway's cottage for instance smelled of flowers... it was utterly beautiful. Lunch was very tasty. The theatre smelled of expensive perfumes.

However Virgo, I suspect you are being facetious...so what am I missing there?
being a non-smoker the smell is everything , there's a city not far from here and every time I go there it smell like sewer ponds , yucky! but the people who live there are so use to it they dont notice it ...wave
Great pics Abagail
Virgo... I smell everything too. The roses in the UK were unbelievable... In the florists, they smelled heady and unbelievably beautiful. We seem to have bred that out of our roses in the stores in Australia.

If you want cities that smelled unpleasant, that would be in Thailand. It's a beautiful country, but the sewer system leaves much to be desired.
Thank you, India. bouquet
thats cool ....I wont go there ..wave wave
If your sense of smell is that sensitive, I would not advise it.

However, I was warned of Rotorua in New Zealand and found the place to be incredible. Regardless of the 'smell' ... I am glad I visited there.
Mike, did you just tell me that you get around?wink

Hello Newlife,

It was a pretty spectacular trip. Thanks for stopping by and having a look at the photos.
Luke, this trip was brilliant. However, I think every time you explore a little bit more of the world around you... it changes you a little.

Thank you for your compliment about the photos.
Abagail so so glad you enjoyed your trip. Yes you got around your pics were wonderful, I recognized them all. Small country to your own no doubts but plenty to see. Yes I agree each place one explores gets rid of misconceptions and changes us.teddybear
Redex,

Thank you. I was discussing this with a group of co-workers the other day... A Scottish guy, 2 English women and an Australian. I was explaining that the UK/Ireland helped make sense of all the stories I had been told as a child. I found it mesmerising.

I am not sure I would EVER be able to sate my curiosity about those places.
Mike, you hit gold there. I really enjoy Rove.
Hi Abagail,
