Ireland

Of all the places I visited, Ireland remains with me... but then I am still filtering what I saw. There was so much in such a short time... A month of travel with some incredible places to see. For those of you who have never seen Ireland, I can assure you that it's beautiful and the people are friendly. For those of you that have seen it... well this isn't really news to you. laugh

happy369 ---Thank you, Happy. Some random beach dweller... I should have probably thrown change at him. grin

Chocheta ---Thank you... I found it incredibly appealing, I can't wait to return.

ajkaorjun---Oddly enough I didn't try the 'traditional' Irish coffee...maybe next time.
GoDaniel,
doh laugh

Try saying "Soft Day Thank God" Instead cheers
fotinia0737--- That is the truth. The people reflect the country in so many ways. It's so laid back. Just delightful.

Welela---The hardest bit for me is to reduce the amount of photos I share. I took a huge amount of photos. Thank you for taking time to come and view them. bouquet

Delatude ---I did have a wonderful trip. There is so much I didn't see, and yet...so much I did. The only bit of France I saw was Calais... when I arrived home, it was to find my foster parents and I were in London at the same time , before they travelled to France. This was their second trip to France.
Abagail,
Looks like you got some of the heat wave. Lucky you.
Did you experience any of our rain. ?

Beautiful Photos. cheers
Looks like the craic was mighty Abagail laugh
KN !!!
NON !!!

yay

Love you tooooooooooooooooooo!!! yay
india30 ---Thank you. I did meet one, I missed another. However, I met a lot of people there and keep in touch with them still. smile

marij070 --- Hello again. It seems an age since I saw you on CS. Lovely to see you again. I went to Scotland after Ireland and it was just beautiful too.

francie2013 --- You have an interesting point there , Francie... the sand is not quite right in Ireland... it's mixed with mud making it compacted. However, it made it interesting...It's so different to the beaches I have been to in the past.

You are welcome. I will happily bore anyone with photos of places I have been to. laugh
fotinia,
hug bouquet
MADDOG69 --That really is the same waterfall!!! It's beautiful... I found the short walk to the waterfall was delightful too.

GoDaniel---Top of the morning, to ya. Thank you... I got lucky with the weather in Ireland, it was spectacular when I was there.

nonsmoker ---No rain, Non. The weather was unseasonally warm there... Most disappointing. I don't think I saw the REAL Ireland. Not to worry, it will rain in November for me. smile

Thank you... it's easy to share beautiful photos when the landscape is so rich.

KNenagh ---That word 'craic' still makes me giggle. However, yes... I did have a most enjoyable time there. I did the tour of Guinness Storehouse in Dublin and the views were spectacular of the city. I also had dinner there after the tour.
Hi Abagail ,
your photos of our emerald isle are beautiful thumbs up
I remember visiting the Dingle Peninsula over 20 years ago and stayed in a hotel in Ballyferriter --the views of the ocean were spectacular ! I am so glad you enjoyed your time here --next time you visit, it might take the whole month of your vacation time to really see so many of the other counties thumbs up
You visited Galway , next time you must visit us 3hours on up the road in Donegal applause cheering wine
Serenity... I am returning. I want to return to Blarney Wool Mills... I loved the shopping there. But I didn't get up to see the famous stone... so I will go and see it. AND I will see some of Cork, and maybe Waterford... but the next trip... I want it to be more relaxing. I was exhausted after that last trip. laugh
hug
yes i'm sure ! you visited a lot of countries in a short space of time thumbs up
next time , I hope you have a more leisurely trip Abagail thumbs up if you ever travel to Donegal , you must let me know --I will gladly be your guide around all the magnificent scenic areas here thumbs up
Thank you, Serenity. teddybear That is a really kind offer. I would happily have coffee with you. I have to work on booking my next flights and of course, it's going to be cold in Ireland next time.
yes indeed Abagail ,
you were so very lucky with the weather here this summer -it really was exceptionally warm !! cool grin
If you had of visited the summer before , you would have been washed out with rain ! laugh
But rest assured , even when the weather is cold the welcome from the people in towns and villages will be warm thumbs up
Enjoy the rest of your weekend hug
Thank you, Serenity. I really had no doubt that the people in Ireland would be friendly...but what I didn't realise was how it would capture part of me. Originally, before I took the trip...I only intended to go to Scotland/Germany. And while I loved both of them... Ireland still stands apart. I think it's because even the cities feel like country towns.
Great Abagail. thumbs up wine
yes indeed Abagail ,,,,many many times we hear that very same expression from our visitors ... Ireland surely captures a little piece of their heart thumbs up
For all of us who live here , there are always special places in this small island , that remain in our own hearts --for me that is Salthill in Galway and Westport in Mayo and of course Dingle thumbs up
But when each of us travel to other countries , we do the same -for me ,, it is in Paris 30 years ago --I left a piece of my own heart there --I adored the place thumbs up
The most perfect place on the planet for me was National Sequoia Park... my senses were filled with wonder and I was spellbound. I finally got to see the trees that I had dreamed about as a child.

But you are right, Serenity...we live in a beautiful world and IF we spent our lives travelling, there would always be more to see. rose
HI ABAGAIL those photos are great i have visited each of those places and they are all special but the most special for me is the last one its the Jeanie Johnston ,the love of my life i sailed on her for nearly six years .i miss her crying crying crying grin laugh wave
ps that person on the beach does spoil the view laugh
Ironically Mike... While she was interesting... I wondered if she would not better for firewood these days. Afterall, she has had so many men ride her...not even she would be aware of what their names were .... batting
OH ABAGAIL HOW HARSH ,NOW THAT SOUNDS LIKE JEALOUSY rolling on the floor laughing AND REMINDS ME OF THE SONG I FEATURE HERE ENJOY THE WORDS
banana
Mike, you have simply confirmed what I already knew. grin
Abi those are great picture ...& good to know you really have fun time on your vacation.

wish someday I can see that too wine
Hello Lavina... I am glad you liked the photos. Who knows what is around the corner for any of us? I truly thought I would never travel, but the last few years... I have done a wee bit of travelling.
roll eyes I don't want to know what you did with the cabin boy on your trips , Mike. tongue
