men versus women in political leadership

I am a little wary of putting up this topic today but once and for all, let's all bash out or patronize our bias and prejudices on this area, shall we?

Coincidentally, our numbers as women in both houses has tremendously increased in the last ten years.

What it means when it comes to our growing participation in the political world is progressively leading to our awareness that we are no longer sitting spitting our disappointments and frustrations. Rather we are grabbing the reign to balance and even perhaps dominate this arena.

How is it possible?

And why would they be better in leadership? If not, why?

Any opinions, good or bad is welcomed.

I mean just professionally and respectfully expressed would be highly appreciated.

Thanks all for your participation.

Note: In your country, is there a record accounting for any increase of women's political involvement?

I am very happy that Jamaica have a woman as Prime Minster,
and I think our police force should be all women...
James that is so nice. Why all women on the force?
Years ago I was reading this book The God Emperor of Dune
his police force was made up of only women, he said that women make a better protector than men.

When I look back to all the women in my family thay were all protectors and still is.

I have no preference on gender when it comes to politics but I would like women to be more involved...perhaps others feel the same...considering some countries don't allow women's input or allow them to think...if the Western countries are open to this idea perhaps this could lead others to show more kindness towards women in general...meaning that women are persons, can drive and can have an opinion that matters...the list goes on...I believe that with exposure to our views will lead to some kind of understanding...so a female leader would help greatly in this area...tolerance I mean...
I guess our motherly instinct works then James.
Lou my friend, in the world of decision making, bits been proven that 75 percent of sound decisions made in a household is of that from the female side and the success of that decision is very favorable on most occasiobs.
I believe it has something to do with the fact that we're less compulsive than our male counterpart.
Thanks Ken, such a very strong argument. So it's all biological then? Like the need to be in control and recognized because of such Z natural roots?

I said it once and I will say it again. Women will one day be the majority of Congress and Senators! I believe in my lifetime and I am old!
On the other side of the coin there was Margaret Thatcher ,

What do we think of her legacy ?
I loved MT..very strong

Perhaps women are more careful in their decision making and look at others and not just the needs of herself...a good attribute to have when leading a nation...wine
I have always fond MT too far on the right, and in many ways she had a tunnel vision.
Obs I believe it comes in the territory.

But you do admire and respect women and I'm happy for that.
Thanks again Ed, your support is working.
Ken I have a great respect for anyone who recognizes the urge for a radical change.
Ian, indeed she is and why is the partially hidden face?
Yes Lou, IN fact that is the greatest strength of a woman that seems to be missing with our men leaders.
