DEPLORABLES OF THE WORLD! UNITE!!

"'Basket Of Deplorables'...
is a phrase from a 2016 presidential election campaign speech delivered by Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on September 9, 2016, at a campaign fundraising event, which she used to describe half of the supporters of her opponent, Republican nominee Donald J. Trump. The next day she expressed regret for 'saying half', while insisting that Trump had deplorably amplified 'hateful views and voices'.

"The Trump campaign repeatedly used the phrase against Clinton during and after the 2016 presidential election. Many Trump supporters adopted the 'Deplorable' moniker for themselves in reappropriation. Some journalists and political analysts questioned whether this incident played a role in the election's outcome. Clinton admitted in her 2017 book What Happened that it was one of the factors for her loss."

As noted in the definition, Deplorables have embraced the name much as American Colonists embraced the derisive term Yankee Doodle, by which they were referred to by the British.

So.
Who ARE the Deplorables? I very recently came across a vid in which Deplorables define themselves and their movement, which I've dubbed Deplorablism*.

Here, then, is what might be called The Deplorable Manifesto ...

The Manifesto is not limited to U.S. Deplorables. It traces the history of the movement to Britain & the Brexit movement - well before Clinton's use of the defining term.

Leftist film maker Michael Moore (NO Trump supporter) defined Deplorables similarly in his documentary Michael Moore In TrumpLand, released prior to the '16 Election ...

Since Brexit & the U.S. '16 Election, "Deplorables" has been loosely adopted by individuals, groups & movements in various parts of the world.

The movement has its anthem ...

... including a French version ...

... in which, BTW, the soloist totally kills it.

The anthem might be analogous to that of International Communism - "The Internationale" ("L'Internationale") ...

Should Deplorablism bring about significant changes in the world, Clinton's disdainful "Basket Of Deplorables" remark may be regarded in history as infamously as Marie Antoinette's advice, "Let Them Eat Cake".

*Deplorablism - I recently used the term in a blog comment post. I later became curious if it was an actual word & searched it typing
NOTHING came. Zip. Zilch. Nada!
T'would appear I've coined a new word.

Not just good, but good for you

July 1 — To paraphrase a great old slogan for Guinness beer: Sex isn’t just good, it’s good for you!

Okay, so maybe there’s some wishful thinking going on — the science isn’t exactly iron-clad — but evidence is accumulating that the more sex you have, the better off you are.

There is one caveat, though. “We do not have good data to show a direct connection [to all-around good health]," says Jennifer Bass, the head of information services at the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction in Bloomington, Ind. "We know that healthier people have more s*xual activity. But we do not know which comes first. Does the good health make you more willing to have sex, or does the sex have a positive impact?”

And you dirty girrrls and Don Juans should know that the assumed health benefits of sex are generally thought to accrue to people in loving, monogamous relationships or those flying solo. Risky sex with lots of partners will probably do more harm than good.

But while researchers try to nail down the impact on overall health, data is mounting when it comes to some specifics. Here are several potential benefits:

1. Easing depression and stress
Bass says this is pretty definite. “The release from o*gasm does much to calm people. It helps with sleep, and that is whether we talk about solo sex or sex with a partner,” she says.

But wait, there’s more. A recent study of college students at the State University of New York in Albany suggests that semen acts as an antidepressant. Females in the study who were having sex without condoms (see safe sex caution, above) had fewer signs of depression than women who used condoms or abstained from sex.

“These data are consistent with the possibility that semen may antagonize depressive symptoms,” the authors wrote, “and evidence which shows that the va*ina absorbs a number of components of semen that can be detected in the bloodstream within a few hours of administration.”

I kid you not, ladies. Semen is good stuff. It gives a shot of zinc, calcium, potassium, fructose, proteins -- a veritable cornucopia of vitality!

2. Relieving pain
o*gasm is a powerful pain-killer. Oxytocin, a natural chemical in the body that surges before and during climax, gets some of the credit, along with a couple of other compounds like endorphins.

According to a study by Beverly Whipple, professor emeritus at Rutgers University and a famed sexologist and author, when women m**turbated to o*gasm “the pain tolerance threshold and pain detection threshold increased significantly by 74.6 percent and 106.7 percent respectively.”

More women opting for preventive mastectomy - but should they be?

Rates of women who are opting for preventive mastectomies, such as Angeline Jolie, have increased by an estimated 50 percent in recent years, experts say. But many doctors are puzzled because the operation doesn't carry a 100 percent guarantee, it's major surgery -- and women have other options, from a once-a-day pill to careful monitoring.

3. Boosting cardio health
I can’t resist another plug for semen. It’s possible that male goo can lower blood pressure. Another recent study found that women who gave their men o*al sex, and swallowed, had a lower risk of preeclampsia, the dangerously high blood pressure that sometimes accompanies pregnancy.

US job growth roars back in November, with 266,000 added

Where's this recession predicted by the libs that was suppose to be right around the corner? rolling on the floor laughing And yes, Trump is responsible for how well the economy is doing, not Obama!

U.S. hiring surged in November, as the economy added 266,000 jobs and unemployment returned to a half-century low, a sign the U.S. is powering through a global slowdown.

The payroll number easily topped the estimate of 180,000 from economists surveyed by Refinitiv, who also saw the unemployment rate holding steady from October's 3.6 percent.

It marks the 110th month of straight gains.

Unemployment ticked down slightly to 3.5 percent as more people were looking for work, matching a 50-year low. The labor force participation rate was little changed at 63.2 percent. Average hourly earnings, meanwhile, rose by 3.1 percent over the past year to $28.29.

Revisions, meanwhile, added 41,000 jobs for the prior two months, bringing the three-month average to 205,000, a 10-month high. (September increased by 13,000 to 193,000, and October jumped by 28,000 to 156,000). Still, job growth on average is slower than it was in 2018: The 2019 monthly average is 180,000 jobs per month, compared with an average gain of 223,000 last year.

“This is a blowout number and the U.S. economy continues to be all about the jobs,” said Tony Bedikian, head of global markets for Citizens Bank.

One reason for the rebound is the conclusion of the General Motors strike at the end of October. The motor vehicles and parts sector boosted employment with 41,300 workers in November, adding to the 54,000 jobs created in manufacturing last month. In October, when the economy added a better-than-expected 156,000 jobs, the motor vehicles and parts manufacturing sector posted a decline of 42,000 workers.

The blockbuster report provides further evidence that the longest economic expansion on record will continue and reinforces the Federal Reserve's characterization of the labor market as "strong." It also affirms the central bank's decision to press pause on further interest rate cuts this year. Economists widely expect policymakers to leave interest rates unchanged at their two-day meeting next week.

Other sectors that contributed to the stellar report included leisure and hospitality, which increased by 45,000, and professional and business services, which rose by 38,000. One concerning sign in the report is that retail added 2,000 jobs, even in the midst of the vital holiday shopping season.

"This strength is leading the market to conclude that the Fed might not lower interest rates any further in 2020, and (interestingly) the futures market is even pointing to the slightest possibility of a rate increase as the year progresses," said Scott Clemons, chief investment strategist at Brown Brothers Harriman.

House Hears Testimony From Renowned, Unbiased Legal Scholar Hillga Clintonheimer

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In an effort to prove that impeachment is constitutionally sound and definitely not a politically motivated circus performance, Rep. Jerrold Nadler called on his final witness of the day: renowned legal scholar Hillga Clintonheimer.

Dr. Clintonheimer teaches at Lund University in Sweden. The legal scholar was flown out by the Judiciary Committee to give her expert testimony this morning as impeachment hearings resumed.

"This Donald Trump of yours, yah, he is very corrupt, yah, and you should impeach him, yah?" she began, drawing applause from the Democrats on the panel. "He is, how you Americans say, very bad man, ya?"

"I think we've heard enough. It's clear from the testimony of this legal expert that we should impeach. All in favor?" Nadler said. But just then, Clintonheimer stood up to go, and her vaguely European-looking scarf fell from her head, revealing that the woman was actually Hillary Clinton in disguise.

"You'll never take me alive!" she cried, pulling a revolver from her purse and pointing it frantically out of the room as she backed away slowly. She broke into a run and dove into a waiting SUV, which narrowly escaped congressional security staff.

Clinton previously found herself in hot water after posing as White House janitor Hillarita Clintonez.
