Today is was revealed that a key witness, Gordon Sondland, US ambassador to the European Union, reversed his testimony.
Previously, it was apparent, that he TRIED to protect the president, but inconsistencies and illogical statements did more damage than good for the (so called) president. Thus, he finally spoke the truth after.

A key witness in the Donald Trump impeachment inquiry has reversed his evidence, indicating he did believe there was a quid pro quo in which US military aid would be denied to Ukraine unless it publicly launched a corruption investigation into Joe Biden.
Gordon Sondland, the US ambassador to the European Union, had initially denied any knowledge of a link between the $391 million in aid and Mr Trump's request that Ukraine launch an inquiry into his political rival.
But in a revised statement Mr Sondland said: "In the absence of any credible explanation for the suspension of aid, I presumed that the aid suspension had become linked to the proposed anti-corruption statement."
Mr Sondland said that, after "refreshing my recollection," he remembered telling a senior Ukrainian official on September 1 that the aid would "likely" be stopped unless there was an investigation into Mr Biden and his son Hunter, who sat on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
His private testimony, and the amended statement, were released by the Democrat-led committee pursuing the impeachment inquiry.
The impeachment inquiry is primarily focused on a July 25 conversation between Mr Trump and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy
Mr Trump froze the US military assistance to Ukraine shortly before speaking to Mr Zelenskiy, prompting accusations from Democrats that he had misused taxpayer money destined for a vulnerable US ally for personal political gain.
Mr Sondland detailed how at one point Mr Trump nearly hung up on him when he asked whether the White House was withholding the aid in return for an inquiry into Mr Biden.
He said Mr Trump told him: "I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo. I want Zelenskiy to do the right thing."
Mr Sondland said Mr Trump was in a "bad mood". He added: "I wouldn't say he hung up me, but it was almost like he hung up on me."
The diplomat said on September 1 he discussed the matter with Andriy Yermak, an adviser to Mr Zelenskiy.
Mr Sondland said: “I said that resumption of the US aid would likely not occur until Ukraine provided the public anti- corruption statement that we had been discussing for many weeks."
He said he believed the plan was "ill-advised" but he did not know "when, why or by whom the aid was suspended."
Mr Sondland was asked by the committee if he thought the idea was illegal. He said: "I'm not a lawyer, but I assume so."
When asked a second time he said it would be "improper" and added: "I don’t know the law exactly. It doesn’t sound good."
Congressional Democrats also released testimony from Kurt Volker, the former US special envoy to Ukraine
He said Mr Trump had told him to "talk to Rudy" - his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani - about Ukraine matters.
Mr Volker said the president told him: "They are all corrupt, they are all terrible people. I don't want to spend any time with that."

Mineral, pipeline and oil concerns, circumventing fairer neonationalization, were scooped up for kopeks on the rubble. The lumpen proletariat are on the whole better off, it's true, but almost all are still struggling for their daily bread, oily Wodya, not to mention western jeans. And increasingly, the West is seen as a threat to Mother Russia. Natoization of former slave states, almost all now with bustling economies, under more democratic rule, and much more,---reunite age old fears of encirclment and domination. And the important treaties worked out in wisdom and good faith between Gorbachov and that prototrumpian monster Reagan, are due to expire. Recall how the ueber left and biased media fretted that the Gipper would BRING ON nuclear war, in the day, rather than make it less likely. Anyone see similarities to the now three year, serially failing, attacks to overturn by coup, the 2016 election? There are much more auspicious pictures of life for our children today. These weapons should be cut back to only a very few, for tactical. not strategic purposes, in each nuclear power. A pleasant start to improve the world. then we can get on to other real problems. She said, after all in the group read from their favorite authors, "Nice, all dead, white males". And she's not even hot, which as any nearly dead, white male knows, forgives quite a bit, immediately adjudicating the lady as not guilty. I've decided to email the nice fellow with whom I started the group, and say I'm looking for a new one. But I also want to attatch a copy of this posting, just to rub it in a little. To punish her, and vicariously, the world of liberals as well. But I know it's wrong. When I try to ask for Bravo's thoughts on the matter, he just burps, and gets me one of his slobbered toys to play with. Moonbaton is a progressive suburb of Boston, often called a little piece of Californicate back East. Seems as though one, captain of her girls' Grecoroman wrestling team, was pinned in ten seconds by a much stronger opponent, biologically a male, but now trans. The school board and town council, Fake Indian voters all, approved the whole deal, and this same "it" student has exposed itself, repeatedly, to both young ladies, in the now "all gender", former girls', room. More normal citizen action to town officials falls on covered ears. The Police chief, a tiny negro gay lady, was recently Peter Priciple promoted, and now does only desk work, after having her arse-and side arm- both handed to her, by a male perp she was trying to cuff, after he allegedly robbed an elderly lady of her pocket book. He was also prototrans and homeless, and needle drugging and peeing/pooping on the formerly tidy streets of idyllic little Moonbaton, Mass. But well protected in this sanctuary town, based on his illegal criminal entry here from sunny El Salvador. There's a sign over the entrance to the town hall, boldly proclaiming, "IT'S YOUR GIRLS, MRS. SMITH". Stay tuned, folks, it's all coming to your town soon. Vote Bernie, Biden or Warren. Sure, she was a wacko, neither physician nor scientist, but her Christian Science movement had much good to say. Reading centers every where, and a huge modern head building right in the center of Boston. And unlike the Mormons, they don't send their overly scrubbed young men out in pairs to bug us at home with the big book jive. And after all, even Ghandi had his kinks, and Jesus wasn't above having his homies whack off the ear of a Roman soldier, now and again. But how about that cerebral spinal fluid? It seems that the normal circulation from brain internal ventricles, down to the spinal cord central canal, and back, before reabsorbtion, isn't continuous. Instead, there are strong flow pulses, of some 20 seconds, all night long. While we dream, peebles! Thoughts are it's a natural mechanical-chemical cleaning process, to rid the central nervous system of toxins. Perhaps even Beta amyloid and Tau proteins, for prevention of dementias. Healing is more often less active interventions, than simply getting out of the way of the body's amazing ability to self heal. Wonderful Nature.
