The 10 rules of being human.

The 10 rules of being human......... 1. At your birth you will receive a body that you can find or hate. However, the only thing you can be certain about is that you will keep that body for the rest of your life. 2. You will learn lessons because you are enrolled in the informal full-time school of Life on Planet Earth. Every person or event is your Universal Teacher. 3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trying. 'Failures' are just as much a part of that process as 'Success' is. 4. A lesson is repeated until it is learned and you are brought in different ways. Only when you have learned one lesson can you proceed with the following. You will know that you have learned a lesson when your actions change. Wisdom lies in exercising. A little of something is better than a lot of nothing. 5. If you are struggling with the lessons, they will become heavier. External problems are an accurate reflection of your inner state. Pain is the means by which the universe attracts your attention. When you clear the inner obstacles, the outer world changes with you. 6.
There is no better than the here and now. When your there becomes one here, you will simply get a new one again, which again seems better than the here. 7. Others are just your own views. You can not love or hate something to another unless it reflects something that you love or hate in yourself. 8. Your life is in your own hands. Life provides for the canvas; you paint it! Take charge of your life or someone else will. 9.Whatever you want always comes to you. Unconsciously you determine which forces, experiences, and people you attract. That is why the only fully tested way to find out what you want is to look at what you have. There are no victims, only students. Answers for your questions lie within yourself. You know more than you have heard and read, or that you have been told. All you have to do is watch, listen, and have confidence. 10.

You forget all these wisdoms right after your birth! You actually learn it because society tells you more or less how you should be, how you should respond and what you should do. They teach you to make the choices that are probably not your choices. This happens because you have doubts and so you ask someone else to help you. You can remember it all again, whenever you wish. So learn to find yourself again.

And on the seventh day... he blogged.

My introduction: Listed on several sites, I'm not new to forums or blogging. All sites combined, in the last 20 years, I've probably posted more than 4,000 blogs and 6,000 forum posts on many topics including humor, current events, music, science and technology.

How did I find ConnectingSingles? By invitation...
My cellphone beeped with a text message that my name came up in conversation, so I was summoned with the URL to appear here. I forgot to bring doughnuts this morning, please forgive me!

When I'm not blogging or posting on/in the forums, I'm reporting fraudulent profiles...
You know, the ones with photos of famous movie or Instagram fitness stars who have millions of followers or adult movie actresses who have hundreds of photos on the internet. I've been doing this for years... it's a well developed hobby of mine and though I don't have photographic memory, I do remember photos I've seen before, so... I guess you can say, I have pornographic memory.
laugh

Seriously, scammers are more than annoying and can be found everywhere including LinkedIn, Google, college alumni and many corporate sites. Since I joined CS, I'm averaging around 3 per day. The only problem I see is the profiles I've reported for fraud haven't been deactivated. That could be the subject of another blog!

So 'hey' to those who already know me and 'hi' to those who don't!

All our advisers are busy, please hold

Just so you know, when you hear that (for the 10th time) and are getting madder and madder, imagining all the advisers chatting round the water cooler or gossiping in the smoke shelters, nuh UH. scold

Probably not enough advisers, for starters. That's standard. Not enough hired, or some off sick, train delays, some simply didn't pitch up. I worked on a bank support desk for 5 months, great hours, best paid worst job I ever had.

Managers demanding you should be handling AT LEAST 6 calls an hour. Called in to a Serious Meeting if your average dropped too low over a 3 session period. Trust me, no point in reminding them you've had commendations for your service. Time is what matters, Biff, time. Not doing it right.

We were working 4 hour shifts, 4 pm to 8 pm and got one allocated 5 minute break in the 4 hours - go to the loo? have coffee? smoke? decisions decisions.

Managers marching up and down the office shouting 'calls stacked up EIGHT MINUTES PEOPLE wrap up the call you're on!!'

Disconnect that call and before you can update the customer's notes on their account, the next voice is coming through your headphones, and he is MAD because he's waited 8 minutes and he wastes 3 minutes of the 10 you should be giving him by being bitterly sarcastic. Or you waste time because the notes from the last time he called might as well be in Klingon for all the sense they make, and the caller has to explain from the beginning. He'll love that.

Some advisers pretended to keep on talking while they frantically updated complicated notes about a complicated problem before they disconnected. However, the managers also randomly listened in on calls. Get caught, and you were in big trouble, so we rarely risked it.

Some calls simply can't be handled in 10 minutes. We were handling mortgage arrears, try rushing someone who is about to lose their house despite having made arrangements the last time they called in? Sorry, buddy, no notes about that.

Rush them, you get a complaint against you. Don't rush them, 'calls stacked up NINE MINUTES PEOPLE HEADS WILL ROLL wrap up the call you're on!'

So - next time you're told all the advisers are busy, they probably are. If the managers stopped being pocket Hitlers and answered calls themselves to help out - but that suggestion never went down well.

While we're on the subject, can anyone explain why deliveries promised between 9 am and 12 noon only arrive 10 minutes after you went out at 3 pm? Or any other background explanations? rolling on the floor laughing

Maybe you have a wait problem...

I know I do. Sometimes, heating food in a microwave oven is just too slow. Really. I consistently need things to happen faster. Life is getting that way. Next day air isn't fast enough for my lifestyle anymore. I've gotta have it now.

No, tomorrow is too late. Workers are standing around and I need that hardware NOW !!

Yes, it annoys me when I order pizza and I have to wait 25 minutes for the thing... why aren't they taking it out of the oven when I hang up the phone? They're making pizza all day long... can't they go any faster?

I was talking with a General Contractor and he told me he was sending e-mail while we were on the call... "I just sent you an e-mail, did you receive it?" he said... No... and it was more than a minute to arrive from across town. How frickin' annoying is that?? E-mail should be instantaneous.

This isn't a rant, it's just my assessment of how fast things need to move in life today. My boss asked why I was late to work this morning. "Did you wake up at 7:30?" he said. I answered "No, I was up at 6 o'clock" "So why are you late today?" he asked and I replied "I had to make a poop"

Thanks for reading my blog!
