Having tested positive for COVID-19 last week, Rudy Giuliani was admitted to the hospital. It was reported he was 'feeling fine' and four days later he was released... just like Chris Christie, just like Donald Trump.
I shouldn't find it odd that political celebrities have access to medicines and treatments (experimental or otherwise) that the general public cannot get.
In the news this morning Giuliani was interviewed having said' he experienced “serious symptoms” before he was given experimental drugs that weren't available to others in the same quantities. During the interview, he also said that he received the same "cocktail" of medications that Trump did when he contracted the virus.'
The story goes on to read 'According to the New York Times, ????officials at the FDA have raised concerns privately that people with connections to the White House seem to be obtaining access to the antibody treatment before it has reached anyone else as well.'
It's pretty easy to play-down a virus when you are part of the inner circle.
Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley was "incredibly disingenuous" with his testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Rep. Mike Turner, R-Ohio, told Newsmax.
Milley left out any mention of the U.S. drone strike that ended up killing civilians, including children, rather than an ISIS-K target in the final days of the U.S. presence in Afghanistan, Turner lamented on Tuesday's "National Report."
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was "emotional" about the 13 U.S. service members who died in a suicide bomber strike at the Kabul airport during the evacuation from Afghanistan, but Milley's reaction was different.

'Enough is enough' - unvaccinated should face financial consequences
Taking personal responsibility
Regarding “Editorial: Texas’ nursing shortage is costing lives, and Gov. Abbott let it happen,” (Aug. 17): Gov. Greg Abbott’s support comes largely from rural areas and, as you point out, hospitals in those areas are bearing the brunt of his decisions. But those decisions are largely supported by the folks in those areas. His lack of leadership is actually a reflection of his base and he continues to build a large re-election campaign fund from that base. How long are the rest of us going to allow this sick system to continue?
It is past time for those of us that are vaccinated to say enough is enough to those adults that choose to not be vaccinated. There need to be financial consequences for those who are not vaccinated who contract COVID, not extraordinary measures to treat them. Personal responsibility is, after all, a conservative mantra. There is no “right” to bring our health care system to the brink due to lack of personal responsibility.

As coronavirus infections surge there has been increasing concern about the availability of hospital beds in many cities, including Houston. It is curious that while many restaurants, shops and other businesses allow entrance only to vaccinated customers, no hospitals have similar requirements, even as space becomes short. How does it serve equity or public health if a sick patient, through no fault of his own, or a sick child — not eligible for vaccination — is turned away because all the beds are filled with people who, by their own preference for “personal choice,” and despite the danger they pose to others in the community, refuse vaccination? Of course, if there is no shortage of beds, these people should be admitted, but in light of the increased threat that they pose to staff and other patients, it would be reasonable to impose an additional charge for their treatment.
The possibility of higher hospital costs or refusal of admittance to a hospital might convince some to get the vaccine. The economic incentive could be carried a step further if the insurance companies refused to pay the medical costs of the unvaccinated. This is not a drastic action. Most insurance policies require that the insured take normal steps to avoid an insured loss. A homeowner cannot burn the house down and collect on the fire insurance policy.

During the hearing on Wednesday one of the witnesses argued that removing dead people from the voter rolls is “voter suppression.”

My only conclusion as to why Kim fired off these missiles, is to basically taunt the USA. They, the North Koreans, are stamping down their authority now that everyone knows the US' reigning party has no real policy of stopping them. They will have a stronger argument at the negotiating table after these latest acts of aggression.

During the “Final Four Show” on Saturday, former NBA star and “Inside the NBA” analyst Charles Barkley said that politicians intentionally fuel racial divides in order to “keep their grasp on money and power,” and that the “system” is designed to foster hatred and to “scramble the middle class.”

Has anyone noticed how tempers can flare after a while when a bunch of guys/gals are cropped up in a confined space?
I used to manage a group (between 12 and 24) of very active, intelligent guys at work and sometimes we needed to wait for the final go ahead for a specific job, be it a painting or welding job.
After 3 or 4 days in a confined space then finger pointing and insults start. Doesn't matter how close the bond is between these guys.
Situation at that stage becomes volatile and can erupt without warning if discipline is weak.
Then to make matters worse you get the stirrers who get a kick out of chaos.
I mention this because this is exactly what is happening on the blogs. Most of the bloggers are good guys with great stories but unfortunately have been cropped up here for too long.
Any advice or recommendations to solve?
Since January, I noticed 2 out of 7 trees in the Y-intersection of the road near my apt, had a green nylon string tied around its trunk. Wondering if it was a death sign. Then days and weeks passed by and I thought I was so wrong since they were all cropped at the top. I noticed that every winter or near the end of winter, trees are cropped down. Perhaps in preparation for summer. Then near the end of Feb, I noticed that the two trees were literally leveled down to the ground. And so I was right all the time. They were so big that a person can't possibly hug it alone. Not sure if it's for safety purposes since it's near electricity lines. Just a bit sad passing by it everyday seeing 2 dead trees.
Occasionally I get a message from a scammer. Of course, they don't have 'Scammer123' as their title, but I know they're a scammer right off the bat.
They'll be telltale signs that I won't describe, coz that's what they want. And they've even pretended sometimes to be genuinely unknowing and want to know how I can perceptively know they're a scammer, so easily.
So how do I respond? Well I certainly don't tell them how I know they're a scammer. And don't tell them, people! What I do is send them a message before a short pause, then hit the block button.
What message do I send? It probably varies, but it'll be something like this: "Scammers don't know how obvious they are! Hahaha! I'm not calling you a scammer, I'm just making a statement! Hahaha!"
The reason I make a statement and not an accusation, is to prevent them from going to CS admin, and try and report me. Like them trying to turn the tables on me.
But I do make it quite obvious that I am calling them out as a scammer. Sometimes I may even mention what I think of scammers, which isn't pretty. But on the same token, I make sure I mention that I'm not calling them a scammer, but the message will otherwise seem to suggest that in fact I do think they're a scammer!
