Why not negotiate a truce before more innocent lives are destroyed?
Ukrainian soldier admits some of the marines trying to defend a key river against Russian attack 'can't even swim'
December 4th 2023, 2:48:10 pm
A Ukrainian soldier told the BBC that soldiers sent to help defend recent Ukrainian advances on the Dnipro river were so inexperienced they couldnt even swim.
"Several brigades were supposed to be posted here, not individual companies — we just don't have enough men," said the soldier.
"There are a lot of young guys among us. We need people, but trained people, not the green ones we have there now. There are guys who had spent just three weeks in training and only managed to shoot a few times," he said.
"Everyone who wanted to volunteer for war came a long time ago — it's too hard now to tempt people with money. Now we're getting those who didn't manage to escape the draft. You'll laugh at this, but some of our marines can't even swim," the soldier added.
As the war with Russia approaches its second year, Ukraine is experiencing serious manpower problems and concerns that international support for its resistance to the invasion may be beginning to fade.
In the wake of the invasion, thousands of Ukrainians enlisted in the military. But amid steep casualty figures, these figures are believed to have dropped. Ukraine does not publish recruitment and enlistment figures.
Surely the puppet Zelensky has made enough money by now? He should have free and fair elections instead of jumping to the tune of his puppet masters.

News about Israel/Palestine/Hamas is no longer holding the top spot and Trump is back on top again. More amazing things are coming out of his mouth, like comments from a rally if Jesus and God came down from heaven to be scorekeeper he would win in New York, Illinois and California.
He went on claiming the 2020 election had so much corruption. Seriously now... where is the proof?
His legal team aren't doing well making mistake after mistake. In the beginning, they didn't request a trial jury in the New York fraud case but that didn't stop Donald from trying to make it sound that the state denied him of that right. Blame your attorneys, not the state.
Some reader comments to the recent news stories connect that Trump is notorious for not paying his lawyers and there is a chance the ones he hired may suffer the same fate. There is always the blame game if they cannot 'get him off' they aren't worth the money.
I mentioned this before... as a delay tactic to postpone the upcoming court dates, he could state his legal team were incompetent and had to be fired, therefore he needs additional time to hire a new team, requiring several months to 'bring them up to speed' conveniently moving the dates until after the election, thereby turning the saying "You get what you pay for" into a win-win.

Anthony Fauci Explains What It Was Like Working for a World-Renowned MoronIt wasn’t great ! By
Bess LevinJanuary 25, 2021
hen Donald Trump finally left the White House on January 20, the world heaved a collective sigh of relief the likes of which had not been heard since May 8, 1945, i.e. the day Hitler’s reign of terror on Europe officially came to an end. One sigh that very likely rattled the windows and caused the medical textbooks to fall off of his shelves was that of Dr. Anthony Fauci, who spent the last year trying to stop a deadly virus while working for a guy who insisted things were getting better as they got worse and who preferred to take the advice of the MyPillow Guy over health experts. So you’ll have to forgive the doctor if he’s not done celebrating never having to work for Trump again and/or if he petitions Congress to make the last day he ever had to see or hear from the guy a national holiday.
On the most recent stop of the Fauci Unplugged Tour, the infectious disease expert detailed to The New York Times what it was like dealing with a colossal idiot who wanted doctors to look into injecting household cleaners into COVID-19 patients. According to Fauci, he first realized things were going off the rails during “the rapid escalation of cases in the northeastern part of the country.” He would try to explain just how bad things were and Trump, probably looking up from his phone where he was typing out incomprehensible tweets about the coronavirus being a Democratic hoax, would respond “Well, it’s not that bad, right?” To which Fauci, as though he was speaking to a small child would have to say “Yes, it is that bad,” which of course didn’t make a difference anyway because Trump barely listened to him or anyone else telling him anything he didn’t want to hear. Sayeth Fauci: …the other thing that made me really concerned was, it was clear that he was getting input from people who were calling him up, I don’t know who, people he knew from business, saying, “Hey, I heard about this drug, isn’t it great?” or, “Boy, this convalescent plasma is really phenomenal.” And I would try to, you know, calmly explain that you find out if something works by doing an appropriate clinical trial; you get the information, you give it a peer review. And he’d say, “Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, this stuff really works.”
He would take just as seriously their opinion—based on no data, just anecdote—that something might really be important. It wasn’t just hydroxychloroquine, it was a variety of alternative-medicine-type approaches. It was always, “A guy called me up, a friend of mine from blah, blah, blah.” That’s when my anxiety started to escalate.Yes, in the midst of a once-in-a-generation health crisis killing thousands of people a day, Trump was relying on the advice of a random group of yahoos the White House switchboard operators had express instructions to put through to him, people whose background in epidemiology we can only assume ranked somewhere between that of Mike Lindell and Jared Kushner. So you can probably understand why Fauci was feeling a bit stressed. Not to mention, the harassment of his family and death threats from the president’s followers, who were presumably worked up about Fauci’s insistence on deferring to facts: ....

More and more websites are asking me to log in using my Gmail account to view their site. It's like a bad dream and Google wants to know my every move (like they don't already know) or website research. I check the phone number of a sales lead and asked to log in. Searching appliances and the manufacturer asks for me to log in. Research a property online and I'm asked for my Gmail account to log in.
At this time I can get what I want without having to log in, but my prediction is that will change and mandatory logins will be required for nearly everything.
I see it coming...

After months of capitulation, Elon Musk signs the Twitter deal and all those who were fearful of their 'freedom of speech' being repressed can sing happy phrases.
On day one, the axe swings and some top executives disappeared. This morning I see he also fired a woman who was a key figure in permanently banning Donald Trump.
Does that mean he will be invited back to spew more lies that got him banned in the first place? I wager yes and that will only accentuate his ability to say literally anything he wants without fear of repercussion. Anything goes as the worlds greatest con artist will have millions of loyal followers and exercise no restraint.
Thanks Elon, you're my hero!
81 million votes for this guy?
In a fresh gaffe, US President Joe Biden claimed there are "54 states" in the United States. He was delivering a speech at the Pennsylvania Democratic Party reception ahead of the midterm elections in the US. Biden said that "we defeated it in 2018 when they tried to do it. We went to 54 states." The video of Biden's latest gaffe has gone viral, drawing criticism and mocking of the US President.

LIFE. Some have it easy and some have it easy-ish, whilst it’s a very trying experience for many, and hell-ish for many more. Many of those who are blessed with an easy life can become so comfortable, that they have no care for those who have a tough life. They tend to lack respect for those who struggle to survive, whilst those who have a hard life can become so angry and resentful, that they have no care for those who have it easy/easier.
You may think that a person (e.g. the poor, the sick, the homeless) who seems to accept whatever happens to him/her as being lazy or foolish for not doing anything about it, whilst you may view the person who is constantly hustling/fighting for “betterment” (e.g. a roadside vendor, a farmer, a car salesman) as being note-worthy, but who’s to say that either state of being is BETTER than the other?
Taking whatever live sends our way – blessings and testings – can be beneficial, but it depends upon how we respond to what we are sent. Our personal view or frame of mind determines what we value about the experiences that we have. Accepting things as they come with an attitude of gratitude usually means that we’re easy going, and are also thankful for the good AND the not-so-good, but fighting to get what we want doesn’t have to mean that we are greedy or ungrateful. The former is about being contented, whilst the latter is about being ambitious.
Some things that LIFE throws at us are easier to deal with than others, so sometimes we have to fight in order to get the outcomes that we want. That’s LIFE!
Is it better to take whatever LIFE sends your way, or should we fight to get what we want out of it?
I've always been a 'fan' of the late Princess Diana and her two boys, William and Harry. Her death, like the Queen's, saw them having to be under much public scrutiny, and royal duties. This time their relationship is strained and William (albeit kind and diplomatic) seems wary about consoling his 'little' brother, because he's probably still 'sore' at him (and his wife Meghan).
Yesterday I read an article on the
Yahoo News, and thought that the author was quite right. The heading said:
"
Prince William, Prince Harry should put 'wives aside' and patch up their relationship: American Viscountess"
Here are a few excerpts:*Julie Montagu, an American who is a viscountess, shared with Fox News Digital that there is hope in the U.K. that the brothers will reconcile as they were incredibly close and "leaned on each other" following the death of their mother, Princess Diana.
*Montagu shared that following Queen Elizabeth II’s death and her funeral, the general feeling for the people who support the monarchy is "bittersweet" seeing the two brothers back together. "It's about seeing the two brothers, the sons of Princess Diana, back together and hopefully reconciling and patching up that relationship that we know that they had before," Montagu said.
*"And definitely there is hope that the two brothers will come together," she said. "So I think there's this feeling over here in this country. ‘Let's just put the wives aside.’ We just want to see the brothers together."
If any real good comes out of the Queen's passing, I hope that it will be the RECONCILIATION between Will and Harry, even if their wives remain distant. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
It's a LOVE thing.
