Preferential treatment?.........Hmmmn.

About a month ago, after observing that some men’s profiles were either devoid of a personal pic or featured a pic of an animal (and in one case, a drawing of a cat with a rose), I decided that it would be all right for me to do the same. So, I posted a pic of Sweetie Pie as my primary photo.

Almost immediately, the pic was removed, and I was informed that I could not use it as my primary photo. I was very disappointed and thought of querying that policy, because other CS members were being allowed to do otherwise.

Why was I being denied the same opportunity? Was it because I was (and still am) relatively new on here, and there’s some sort of ‘probationary’ period to complete before I could do so? Was it because they have a policy that ‘men’s faces don’t really need to be seen, but women’s do’? Was it because the ‘mods’ only do random checks and just happened to be checking when I put up Sweetie’s photo? Was it because…………….?
I couldn’t think of anything else that was plausible.

Then, earlier today Avocet’s profile pic (featuring 2 dogs, I think) made Galrads ask how he was able to ‘get away’ with that, and I wondered about the mystery behind it all.

Is this a case of preferential treatment, or a faux pas that was missed by the CS ‘powers that be’? hmmm dunno confused

The right to arm bears...

Every time a wacko gets a high-power weapon and kills a bunch of people blogs and news media gets saturated with talk about the 2nd amendment. You know, the one from 1791.
Surely they knew back then that common folk would need AK-47's to hunt for food, defend themselves against the British and keep from having savage Native American attacks.

My prediction: For or against, nothing will happen. Nothing will get fixed.

Obama won't take your guns away, the NRA won't fold and the government won't fund programs to identify people who are unstable and likely to need counseling... or more.

This last incident won't be forgotten, but it will fade like the others and people will go back to doing thinks like it was before.

If

If the 2020 election wasn’t stolen:

-The 13 Marines in the botched #Afghanistan withdrawal would still be alive.
-The Taliban wouldn’t have billions of dollars of weapons.
-The wall would be completed.
-Americans wouldn’t be living paycheck to paycheck.
-Inflation wouldn’t be out of control.
-Russia would not have invaded Ukraine.
-North Korea would not have tested an ICBM missile.
-America would still be great. ????

Sad To Say But...

one of America’s preferred methods of confronting its adversaries is to ‘wage war by proxy’ against them, that is, to support the war of a group or country against a rival without militarily engaging themselves.

The history of the Cold War is littered with such examples, such as America’s backing of the Mujahideen against the Soviets in Afghanistan, its assistance to Saddam Hussein against Iran in the Iran-Iraq War, or, on a more contemporary note, its failed attempt to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad via local rebels.

Proxy wars allow the US to minimize its own losses by having someone else die for its aims while also procuring geopolitical gain by undermining rival states, at the same time maximizing profits for the military-industrial complex by keeping the arms flowing.

Fact not Fiction.

The Reason

The reason Democrats keep blogging about Donald Trump is they have nothing good to say about their own party and are trying to keep the hate alive until the 2024 election. This is what losers do.

I Finally Figured it Out

With the help of Karel Capek, one of the best writers of the 20th century:

These Times
Peace
We don't want war. Punitive action against anyone weaker will do.
No War
Proof that we really don't want war: we fight without a formal declaration.
International Tragedies
. . . yes, certainly; but with whom we wage war is our own internal affair.
News
We have introduced two new divisions with tanks and aircraft into the attack.
The enemy is fleeing due to heavy losses. Peace continues undisturbed.
Diplomatic Note
To show that we are a peace-loving people, we are willing to accept the enemy's
unconditional surrender.
Protest
We call the attention of the civilized world to our barbaric enemies who, instead
of accepting our terms, go or, _allowing our aircraft to slaughter their women and
children.
News
Our aircraft have bombed the enemy forces with resounding success. ,One
soldier, seventeen women and one hundred children were killed.
Proof
As proof of our efforts to reach an agreement with our neighboring state, we
have begun the bombardment of their open cities.
News
The enemy treacherously attempted to shoot down our airplanes while we were
peacefully dropping bombs on their city.
Good Will
We are willing to submit our conflict to an international conference - with the provision,
of course, that it decides in our favor.
Progress of Civilization
Shooting is more effective now, but at least it is no longer called war.
Two Tigers in a Jungle
We met in the interest of peace. We agreed to hunt together in the future.
Maxim
As long as the wiser man yields, the shrewder man will keep on fighting.
Wolf and Goat
We've reached a trade agreement: I won't eat your grass, and you in return will furnish me with
goat meat.
Fox
Don't believe cackling hens. When I'm sated, invariably there is peace in the hen-house.
Gangster
If you were to defend yourself, sir, I would be forced to consider it an unfriendly gesture.
Wolf
I'm full. Higher morality has triumphed once again.
Robber
He attacked me, and I was only protecting my interest in his wallet.
Trail
Three hundred arrested? And what shall we have them confess to?
Forty-five Executed
By their own admission they tried to steal the moon.
Death
See now? This kind of peace isn't so bad!

Dems' Trump Attack Backfires, Accidentally Set Stage to Prosecute Biden Himself - Judicial Watch

Two can play at the indictment game, and several voices outraged at the indictment of former President Donald Trump predicted on Friday that will happen.

Trump’s indictment is likely to spark a volley of similar efforts against President Joe Biden -- already facing heat due to the activities of his son, Hunter -- and other top-name Democrats, Tom Fitton said, according to the New York Post. Fitton is president of the conservative legal group Judicial Watch.

“All bets are off," he said. "You can expect grand jury indictments of leftist politicians like Biden, [former House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and [Senate Majority Leader Chuck] Schumer as surely as night follows day.”

“You can be sure that there are prosecutors across Florida and Texas right now who are looking for a state law hook into the Biden family,” he added. “And if they’re not, they’re not doing their jobs.”

Mike Davis, president of the Article III Project, which is designed to combat judicial activism, said the gyrations used to indict Trump should be a roadmap for conservatives to emulate.

“Republicans need to learn how to take off the gloves and put on the brass knuckles and break glass jaws — politically and legally, not physically,” he said.

Trying to take Trump down

What I and a lot of others see is a huge corrupt political force out there that are trying to run up anything as far as trumped up charges go. These people against Trump have an agenda. They know that Trump has a good shot at winning the general election in 2024. A lot of people including myself feel that the numbers in the swing states back in 2020 didn't add up, and there was a lot a suspious activity that went down through the middle of the night with the counting of votes.

A lot of us are seeing the ugliest that these people will go to go after Trump using every source to their advantage while corrupting the justice system for their disposal. What we are witnessing is a two tier justice system.

These people that are all involved in going after Trump that are employed by the government know that if Trump wins in 2024, there will be pay back by Trump. These people are scared that he will win, and with what happened with the 2020 election, was actually a stolen election. It's going to be harder to pull off stealing the 2024 election this time around, and they know it. That's why we're seeing this circus going on with all these charges from this corrupt bunch of people. There's a reason Christie is running. He was encouraged to by Trump's foes. His job is to be a thorn in Trump's side and continue trying to run him down.

Christie is bought and paid for. The more you see these type of people trying to do everything they can to prevent Trump from running, the more Trump's numbers continue to rise in the polls. A lot of people see the injustice being done to Trump. The ones who can't see it is because of their refusal to because of the hatred they have towards Trump. This is my opinion!

Good News

It warms my heart to receive and share good news about humanity, especially about new/renewed/repaired relationships between loved ones. Good news is positive news and it’s something that I try to provide on here, because it helps to counteract the constant negativity that seems to pervade the blogs (jmho). There’s so much bad news around us EVERYDAY, that it’s always worth it to share whatever good news we have.

Today, when I read about CW’s repaired relationship with her father, I got a ‘warm & fuzzy’ feeling (remember…I’m a softie), so even though I knew very little about the challenges that CW has had with her dad, I felt really happy about the news. Additionally, the thought of her sister visiting her father to bring about that change seems so divine-like, that my spirit also rejoiced.teddybear heart wings

Have a great Sunday everyone (and share more ‘good news’ when you can).angel2 wine
