Some things I’ve learnt along the way…(pt. 1)

Over the last 20-30 years or so, I’ve had some ‘eye-opening/mind-changing’ revelations about myself and my life.

Some of those revelations are about my relationship with myself, with my immediate family, with ‘ex’ friends and with an ‘ex’ husband – and are very personal. Others were revealed to me through observations, mistakes and other challenges that I experienced along the way.

One of the things I've learnt during my brief ‘sojourn’ on the island of St. Kitts (whilst married), was that even though most cultural practices within the Caribbean can be similar, there are also many differences (e.g speech/language use, foods, social activities, etc). This led me to constantly compare them with my own island’s, as being either better or worse, but, through the not-so-subtle hinting of a very wise older woman, I eventually realized that –

“Different” doesn’t always mean worse (or better), so differences need to be accepted, just as they are. Be respectful.

Another thing I've learnt resulted from the Covid pandemic, and the ‘rush’ to be vaccinated. The mandate for citizens to be vaccinated had many of my work colleagues convinced that it was vital to their, and their family’s and students’ health, as well as their job security. One of them remarked to me that ‘she had prayed about it, and that she believed that God gave the Scientists the ability to create the vaccines, so they must be safe’. I told her that even if that was so, it didn’t mean that SHE should be vaccinated. She still got vaccinated and had several worrying side effects that caused her to be hospitalized (for a brief period), but I do believe that her body will never be free of Covid. So,

Not because something was designed/made by a Scientist means that it works perfectly, is safe and you should use it. Be wise.

Why the Jan. 6 hearing is a sham

Dershowitz: 'Never Believe Anyone Who Is Not Cross-Examined'

Retired constitutional law professor Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax on Tuesday that to be credible, witnesses must always be cross-examined, and that none of the Jan. 6 committee hearing witnesses has been.

''As a professor of criminal law for many years, and as one of the most experienced litigators, never believe anyone who is not cross-examined,'' Dershowitz said on ''The Chris Salcedo Show.''

''And none of these [Jan. 6 committee] witnesses are cross-examined.''

'It's as if a basketball team was sent out on the court, and the other team is held back and not allowed to present its defense of the players,'' he continued. ''It's one-sided. Don't believe it.''

Dershowitz said that the House select committee tasked with investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol building breach would have been much more credible had it accepted the Republicans initially selected to serve on the committee.

''They would have asked hard questions, they would have cross-examined, they would have presented contrary evidence and then the American public could make a decision,'' he said.

Instead, the hearings are being conducted in an entirely partisan way, Dershowitz said, much as the House Un-American Activities Committee hearings were.

He said that the goal of the Jan. 6 committee is to ensure that former President Donald Trump cannot run for president again.

''Although I voted against President Trump twice, I want to see a fair process,'' said Dershowitz, a self-proclaimed liberal Democrat. ''I want to see a fair election. I want to see no partisan misuse of House committees.''

Earlier in the show, Dershowitz said that when he watched the Jan. 6 committee hearings, the discussion revolved around threats that were made to people during the events of the day.

In light of the threats to conservative Supreme Court justices and their families over the potential overturning of the landmark 1973 abortion case Roe v. Wade, Dershowitz said that ''it’s so hypocritical.''

''Threats only seem to matter to Democrat politicians if they're directed against them, not if they're directed against people that they oppose,'' he said. ''We shouldn’t tolerate a double standard: A threat is a threat, violence is violence, no matter who it is directed against.''

We Asked All 50 Democratic Senators If They Would Endorse Biden In 2024. Only 5 Said ‘Yes’

The Daily Caller contacted all 50 Senate Democrats repeatedly and asked if they would support President Joe Biden in his 2024 presidential bid. Five Senators said “Yes.”

A spokesperson for Senate Majority Leader and Democratic New York Sen. Chuck Schumer responded to the Daily Caller with a one-word answer: “Yes.”

Spokespeople for Democratic Sens. Tim Kaine of Virginia and Jack Reed of Rhode Island responded in the same way: “Yes.”

Democratic New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker’s spokesperson also said the senator would endorse Biden, noting, “Yes, Senator Booker supports President Biden for re-election should he run again in 2024.”

Several members of the Democratic Party have recently cast doubt on Biden’s support for his presidential run in 2024 amid his desperate polling numbers.

This week, Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez refused to answer if she will endorse Biden, saying “we’ll take a look at it” when the time comes. Democratic officials and voters also cited the poor state of the country and Biden’s age as reasons they are hesitant to be fully behind Biden now in an article from The New York Times.

Will Sanctions Work?

I think sanctions is going to make Russia more resilient and wont work at all.

JMO

I recall sanctions against SA.
Cut the Fuel... We made fuel out of coal.

Cut the weapons... We manufactured weapons for the export market.

SA was even a Nuclear Power, not to mention the best defence force on the globe. (relatively speaking)

The list goes on and on.

Even our currency was stronger.

The UN banned all imports of fresh fruit from SA. What a joy for the localslaugh

Sanctions make a country stronger.

JMO.

Biden admin to discipline border agents accused of ‘whipping’ illegal immigrants: Report

This a**hole President is totally out of his f*cking mind.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security is planning to discipline Border Patrol agents who were accused of “whipping” illegal immigrants while on horseback in Del Rio, Texas last year, despite being cleared of wrongdoing. The administration, as well as numerous news outlets, mistakenly identified horse reins as whips at the time.

While the agents will not face any criminal charges, Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin reported on Tuesday that a federal source told him the agents will be punished for “administrative violations.”

“Per federal source, DHS is preparing to discipline multiple horseback Border Patrol agents who were accused of ‘whipping’ Haitian migrants in Del Rio last summer. I’m told DHS will imminently allege ‘administrative violations’, agents will be able to respond @FoxNews,” Melugin tweeted.

Nothing happens by accident.

You don't close an American pipeline and open up a Russian one on accident.

You don't abandon America citizens in Afghanistan on accident.

You don't spend trillions of dollars while inflation is out of control on accident.

You don't completely open the border and prioritize illegal aliens on accident.

You don't demoralize and weaken our military on accident.

And most importantly, you don't STEAL an election on accident.

The Power of Choice vs the Privilege of Choice

This life is so full of options/choices for any and almost everything that one can think about or do, that we just expect to be able to exercise that 'power or privilege' whenever, wherever, why ever, however and upon/for whoever we wish. Our choices provide us with options that can impact us and others in either a positive or a negative manner, and for some there's no care given to being altruistic when exercising them.

For example, Putin made the CHOICE to attack Ukraine, even though there were other choices available for dealing with the 'problem(s)' that he perceived. Do you think that he was concerned about how 'real human life' would be affected, or instead, how exerting his 'POWER' would benefit him/further inflate his ego?
It is said that "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts, absolutely". I agree.

Power and choice, doesn't always go together though. The Privilege of choice was granted to mankind from Creation, and we've been abusing it ever since. I've said to myself that, if God had granted us the privilege BEFORE we were born, that certainly would have had a great impact on population, as well as other aspects of life (I think). Imagine that one could decide whether or not one wanted to be born into this world depending on what condition it was at the time (e.g. wartime/peacetime, polluted/unpolluted, diseased/healthy, etc), or even whether one was even interested in being born at all.

I, for one, would have had my reservations, regardless of the 'power' or the 'privilege'. sigh blues hmmm

Hey Look! Proof Former Obama Admin Officials Committed Treason Under Trump

According to a memo obtained by American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ). via a FOIA lawsuit, several Obama administration officials held secret meetings with Iran during Trump’s presidency.

Former Obama Secretary of State John Kerry’s efforts to undermine Trump by negotiating with Iran as Trump was working towards pulling out of the nuclear deal have been known for years. But the memo obtained by the ALCJ is from October 2018, titled “Notes From ‘Iran and the US: An Off-the-Record Conversation with Foreign Minister Mohamad Javad Zarif.” has never been seen before now, and shows that Kerry wasn’t the one working to undermine Trump.

“According to this memo, the previously unreported ‘off-the-record meeting’ took place at the ‘Iranian Ambassador’s Residence, NYC,’ on October 4, 2018 – just days after major media coverage of Kerry’s admission of the secret efforts,” explains ACLJ Executive Director Jordan Sekulow. “The memo we unearthed contains notes on the former U.S. diplomats’ conversation with Zarif and his responses “to questions posed by a group of US former ambassadors and policy analysts.”

“The newly obtained memo, regarding the secret meeting between [Foreign Minister Mohamad Javad] Zarif and these former U.S. officials, included discussions of nuclear weapons, potential prisoner swaps, Afghanistan withdrawal and negotiations with the Taliban, Houthi rebels, Syria, Suleimani’s popularity in Iran, and the ‘region in turmoil,'” Sekulow continues. “This is precisely why we sent this FOIA request: to uncover actions of then-former U.S. diplomats – those who worked for the Obama-Biden Administration but who then went to work undermining President Trump and the core policies he campaigned on and succeeded.”

“[Former Secretary of State] Kerry himself admitted his part in this scheme,” Sekulow added. “And here we obtained a memo showing just that: an off-the-record meeting between Zarif and ‘former’ U.S. diplomats right in the middle of the Trump Administration and during the time President Trump was working through the aftermath of withdrawing the United States from the farce known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) – the Iran nuclear deal.”

This is a clear violation of the Logan Act, which criminalizes unauthorized American citizens from negotiating with foreign governments regarding disputes between the two countries. This is what Democrats accused Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn of violating when he was Trump’s incoming National Security Advisor. Flynn did nothing wrong, but Kerry or any other former-Obama official without authority to be negotiating with Iran absolutely did. In fact, some would call it treason.

Biden Is Just a ‘Front Man’ Who Carries Out Obama’s Wishes

Near the end of Barack Obama’s tenure in the White House, he openly fantasized during an interview about an unconstitutional and illegal way of effectively remaining in office for a third term through “an an arrangement where I had a stand-in or front-man or front-woman and they had an earpiece in and I was just in my basement in my sweats looking through the stuff and I could sort of deliver the lines.”

Obama said, “I used to say if I can make an arrangement where I had a stand-in or front-man or front-woman and they had an earpiece in and I was just in my basement in my sweats looking through the stuff and I could sort of deliver the lines while someone was doing all the talking and ceremony, I’d be fine with that because I found the work fascinating.”

Former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard argues this exact scenario is playing out right before our eyes between Obama and his former vice president and now president, Joe Biden.

Just days before the Biden administration announced the creation of a “Disinformation Governance Board,” Obama called for increased oversight of misinformation across Big Tech media platforms while speaking at the Stanford Cyber Policy Center.

“Biden is just a front man,” Gabbard said. “Obama, April 21: social media censors ‘don’t go far enough,’ so the government needs to step in to do the job. Six days later, Homeland Security rolls out the ‘Ministry of Truth’ (aka Disinformation Governance Board).” Take a look:
