Happy 42nd B-day Touchdown Tommy!

August already, and father time is breathing down Tom Brady's neck! No matter what happens this season, Tom Brady has surpassed all expectations and has made it almost awkward to be a fan. I usually root for the underdog, but with the Pats, I couldn't stop being a fan just because they started winning. I was born into it along with being a fan of the Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics.

Good luck this season Mr. Brady, and keep the shiny side up!

Anyway, here are some players from around the league wishing TB a happy b-day and roasting him a bit.

Oh, and for the haters

An MIT professor (an eagles fan, btw) debunks deflatehate. Funny how things work out, eh?

Ah ...for those not on the know, the Eagles won the Superbowl over the Pats last year (not last season...the Pats won that game against the Rams).

What is our breaking point?

Just asking. For me, to finally have electricity restored and to have a storm leave me in the dark. Thank heavens for cell phones and flashlights

Ok. Before I let the dogs out

I’m so inclined to text my customer back. The idea of buying a full carat diamond for the price of a 3/4 or 1/2 diamond price at my experience is really ticking me off. Sure, they have a budget. It’s not a mystery that a car salesperson works entirely on a commission. You buyers expect me to make nothing so you get what you want fukc all the rest? Please, get over yourselves and buy what you can afford. I’m sick of it and pretty close to saying it to the next jerk. I would rather starve like I already am than cater to your idiotic sense of entitlement.

modern visual entertainment

since I have internet back, I like to lose myself in some visual stimulation. I enjoy movies in particular but like a good series if it is limited to a few seasons. the shelf life just isn't worth it to me unless it's particularly riveting. open and shut cases, I suppose. unfortunately, most of the stuff on Netflix are series. this sort of drives me nuts. I don't feel like investing a million hours on a storyline. I like a 2 hour tale that I can watch before or after work. otherwise, I can't sit still through the whole series of episodes without stepping away to do laundry or the bathroom or grab another cup of coffee. for this reason, I don't know how the character Crystal got killed off on the revamp or Dynasty. No, I won't replay the episode...i'll just move on with my life...

Maybe 14 is too young to drive...

A driver’s education teacher in Iowa dies in crash when his 14 year old listed as a 'StreetSmarts Driver’s Ed student overcorrected when entering the shoulder of a highway, crashing with an oncoming SUV.

The 71 year old teacher was pronounced dead at the scene and others were taken to a hospital with injuries.

Maybe 14 is too young to learn to drive.

Elon Musk and the ventilators...

Last week I read that Elon Musk donated ventilators to a New York hospital. I believe the quantity stated was 1,000 units.

Then I read it was 40 units and the hospital couldn't use the machines as they weren't ventilators, they were BiPAP (air pressure) machines used for obstructive sleep apnea.

Elon claimed he sent the exact specifications to the hospital. They confirmed they would be critical. He's now being criticized for sending BiPAP and not life-support ventilators.

Last week I did a blog about ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP machines as the FDA recently stated they could be substituted for ventilators if hospitals are facing shortages. Obviously the FDA and hospitals aren't on the same page.

From the sound of things, there appears to be confusion about bilevel non-invasive ventilators, commonly referred to as BiPAP machines and ventilators.

Elon stated he would deliver more intensive ventilators last Thursday.

Also in the news... Tesla engineers announced a prototype ventilator that is designed from many of their car parts. YouTube video below.
One story already has him delivering 1,000 units to a California hospital.

Why do I believe this is merely a publicity stunt?
All the other manufacturers have to go through FDA approval.
Something doesn't add up.

Indian products versus foreign products.

Hello friends,
No India made product can be compared to a product from Japan, U.K. USA, Switzerland, because of its quality of functionality, usefulness and long lasting qualities. Raw materials used in a foreign product are better, technology used is better and functionality world class.Indian product is like a beggar, beginning a begging culture of recolonization, appreciation and looks.
A foreign product looks beautiful, works flawlessly and lasts a lifetime. To top the list is the marketability of the product, it is done by ads. in TVs, hoardings and free gifting to its users.
A mess has been created in the automobile market, especially in Electric Vehicles (EV), giving a tough competition to US based Tesla Electric vehicles in terms of price. Some Indian companies like Tata has come out with an electric vehicle priced below 10 lakhs rupees. But Tata is wrong as well as right. In India, price is everything in life. It may be a loaf of bread or an expensive Diamond from a Jeweler. Tata has to think on another point and that is manufacturing. A foreign car is better manufactured than an Indian car.You cannot compare a Fiat car with a German Mercerize Benz.
So watch out for the foreign products in Indian market.
