Hey conrad, are there any glaciers left in Switzerland?

I was wondering what would the sea level be, if all the ice in Antarctica, Greenland, the Alps, Siberia and the north pole were to melt? Has anybody ever run the numbers? What would the continents look like? How dense would the population become with less land to stand on or more importantly grow food to feed an exploding population?

Grow meat in a lab and reverse-engineer a perfectly nutritious gruel for the huge masses, soilless farming etc for the minority sub-elites, and real food for the vanishingly small elite. Virtual reality will replace the need for living space.

In France, we are suffocating ,,, normal temperature is 25°-27°,, now we are having 40°, plus pollution as consequence ,, not enough rains,, this is one cause/heading to claimatic refugees, if glaciers are melting, chances are, those countries below the sea level, Bangladesh, Holland , Manila,, capital of the Philippines,, to name some will be submerged as scientists warned ,, restrictions on watering plants,, filling up of swimming pools ,, we are drying up litle by litle,,, NATURAL SELECTIONS,, those who are healthy will survive,, sick ones,, they will be having a hard time, some passed away,,, as the years before ,,

Its the begining of next Ice age. this increase in temperature is just a temporary phenomen .Rise is temprature eventually effcet the heart transmitting ocean streams and they will shut down. Resulting in Ice age as happend periodically in the past.

Yes, it's actually getting colder and the figures have been altered to support the myth of global warming so they can make millions from carbon tax. I suggest people research the true figures rather than accepting propaganda from media owned by the same people who profit from the carbon tax scam...

I should add that yes, in same places sea temperatures are rising but this is due to undersea volcanic activity. Polar ice is mostly at record highs but again, the figures have been altered. Evidence from NASA satellite photos proves this.

You can't believe everything you read in the mainstream press!

nevertheless the northern route through the artic is free now in summer. so shippinglanes are shifting north.

there was a courtcase because a tourist was mad she couldn't walk on the north pole because there was no ice.

And melting is one.
thermal expansion of water is leading to a huge increase of volume of the oceans.

However Earth is few degrees removed from the maximum temp ( i think that was in the cambriam era) as science says now

I agree, it's one of the biggest global scams of the century, and everyone is buying it. It's not like we weren't taxed hard enough before, but to add shaming people for using energy to live makes it even worse. It's like a new religion. laugh

For the first time in civilized history the Northwest Passage now exists. Henry Hudson was just a few centuries too early. Cargo Ships now run goods from East Asia to Europe without needing to go down to the Panama Canal. Polar bears are being found that have eaten their own cubs because of the lack of seals to feed on (due to the lack of ice to attract the seals). In Antarctica the ice shelves are melting and breaking off and (again for the first time since man arrived there) plants are being seen emerging on rocky ground previously masked by ice. Penguins are having trouble doing their annual migrations to the sea from birth areas as they were not evolved for waddling over rocky terrain, and their birth survival rate is accordingly falling sharply. So yes, it is happening.

To the OP question. See the map here, use the sliding bar on the bottom.

The calculated rise of sea water if all the ice melts is 216 feet. Many of our friends in the Pacific will be moved or dead. This would be minor as many other effects more noticeable would accompany a desalination of sea water and a rise in air temperature. Many of us would/will die too. Maybe all of us if it lasts long enough. Air conditioners have a temperature range they work best at. Most ACs don't work worth a durn if the air outside is 130 Fahrenheit. Many food plants can't take that temperature either. Neither can new born human children or the elderly. Etc., etc.

A study was highly criticized for inflating the temperature record since the late 1990s to show vastly more global warming than was shown in older data. The warming “hiatus” was eliminated and the warming trend over the period was more than doubled.

“There’s been so much criticism of NOAA’s alteration of the sea surface temperature that we are really just going to have to use the University of East Anglia data,” Pat Michaels, a climate scientist with the libertarian Cato Institute, told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“I don’t think that’s going to stand the test of time,” Michaels said of NOAA’s recent adjustments.

But what Michaels and others say is more problematic is the growing divergence between NOAA’s new temperature data versus satellite data and records from the UK Met Office. NOAA’s data shows significantly more warming than Met Office or satellite records.

“It’s a major problem because outside of the north polar region, the upper troposphere is supposed to warm faster than the surface,” Michaels said.

“Pretty much every projection made by our climate models for sensible weather is simply not at all trustworthy,” Michaels said.

So don't get your knickers in a twist, some data says it isn't happeninggrin
